QUOTE(Geoffrey Tan @ Mar 16 2009, 09:28 PM) Any one knows about the price of APM radiator (original) for waja (1.6)A ... ?? changed mine for RM 580...Just to ensure if i got con or something =.= 1 year+ ago at a shop specializing on radiator, I was quoted RM300 for waja original radiator. it's APM iirc. Browse mudah.my, there's radiator for sale at RM300. labour should not cost you RM80. This is considering your top/bottom plastic cover is still ok and reusable. If they are not, might fecth you another 100+. To me, fair price if the top/bottom cover is broken. |

QUOTE(Brotherjoe @ Mar 17 2009, 10:41 PM) from mudah.my shop is near PJ hilton, front of police station Added on March 19, 2009, 1:54 am QUOTE(yngwie @ Mar 18 2009, 01:44 PM) thanks for the tips maybe you want to drain the tranny fluid and check if water went in the tranny. now...i've got another problem. after going thru a flooded road the other day, now my car sometimes jerking... seldom rev over 3k anyway. should be around 27k. you can check in motortrader. seems like manual waja (same year) is fetching a higher price compared to the automatic version. it used to be the automatic version fetching higher price sometimes ago I once had jerking issue going uphill, went to clean the throttle body and replace the spark plugs all is well again. After doing the TB cleaning, checked all the sensors if there is issue with any of them, even the checkengine light is off. QUOTE(ckk125 @ Mar 18 2009, 07:31 PM) hello all, fanbelt too tight?2 questions to ask...i recently changed my 2001 waja's fanbelt(the brand is pentec or simething like that)...now,almost everytime there is the high pitch sound..rev it awhile and it will go away and comeback a few times before it completely disappears..how to overcome this?it is pretty embarassing at times. Plus, what good car polish do u guys recommend and where to get it in kb? Many thanks. This post has been edited by zaidi: Mar 19 2009, 01:54 AM |

QUOTE(ahhuat @ Mar 30 2009, 01:01 AM) driver side, right of steering, actually we can open the cover, and there sit another set of fuses and relays.my signals one time does not blink at all, but blinks fine with the hazard button on. they open the driver side dash cover and replace a relay, all problem solved. maybe you should try with the hazard light, see if it blinks fine. if so, you signal relay is the problem. I did not realize that earlier, but everytime when we switch on the signal, there is 'tick-tick' sound, that is the sound of the relay. |

I like it as is, maybe minimal skirting. heavy mod will just destroy the waja tough look.

QUOTE(www.makan99.com @ Jul 21 2009, 05:18 PM) u mean waja 1.8? apparently that model has got alot of problem with engine. that's the reason Proton ceased 1.8 model for waja. am i right, brothers? +1 stay away from 1.8X. they had been discontinued. better buy new waja CPS if you have the money. Otherwise old ones with mitsu engine should be fine |

QUOTE(yngwie @ Aug 14 2009, 08:17 PM) @arifjoe@ i just changed the belts, and it's just RM35, Bando. should be cheaper if sourced out directly from spare part shops.something fishy about the deal. air-cond belt usually cost around rm55. timing belt around rm135 and that was not even includes the labour charge. let alone the engine oil change / service. you do the count. seem like not the pulley problem. was probably caused by the air-con belt not properly oiled during change. there is no way to change the belt's tension rate but experience mechanic should be able to figure out the best way for the 'em to works. either by tightening or loosening the bearing part. proton timing belt kit for 4g18 is just rm110. |
