after that i try to start, it takes forever when i turn on the ignition before i give up.
anyone has any idea what could be the reason? first time in my life my waja has become this critical until cannot start

I had the same problem last week and the cause was traced to a faulty fuel pump.Cost RM420 to replace(parts and labour) .

My Waja already coming to six year.2003 manual with Mitsubishi engine.

On second thought, that fellow come to my house to fix and he has to come twice, first time to check and second time to bring and fix the pump.

So RM60 for the workmanship still ok lah biggrin.gif

Fryingfox did you change your fuel filter at the same time?

My foreman said its better to change when replacing the fuel pump,as a dirty filter will impede the flow and may shorten the life of the pump motor.

I haven't change mine yet as he din't bring the part the other day.

b48753 brother,How much the Fuel filter cost?

Grounding is good for engine response, due to cheaper ECU used by proton. I feel the big difference when installing the ground wire.
Your problem is due to disrupted reading when u just open -ve point. So now start the engine, after engine running plug off +ve battery terminal for a while, then put it back and let the engine idle for 5-10 minutes for reading resetting.

Just wish to know,

If you take off the negative terminal with the engine running, will the electrical system (ECU,alternator ect) be adversely affected?even fried?
