a little noob question
may i know what are the differences between a 195/55/R15 and 195/60/R15 tyre?
i was told the standard would be the 195/55/R15, but when i check my 04' waja, it is 195/60/R15. i know what is the 55 and 60 indicates, but may i know is there any significant differences between them?

60 more comfort and quieter....
55 handling

errrrr.....even with the 60 i felt the car is so noisy and not comfort at all during cornering
so which means 55 is worst off?!

btw, i guess my spring is so off that a small cornering can throw the passenger at the back sideways, a lot of my friend complaint while cornering

I would like to ask about waja's brakes.
I would like to change the disc brake, or probably the calipers also, but which brand would suit best for waja?

Is it possible to move the front disc to the rear?

today my power window failed me, for the very first time since my father bought the car back in 2003

it is the button that failed, couldnt wind up after winding it down.
does anyone know how much does the whole button unit cost?

my dad bought the car in 2003, but the unit warranty stated 2001? i wonder when did waja first introduce?

and does anybody know how much that switch cost?

I own a 2003 waja 1.6 A/T

I'm thinking of changing the brake calipers, just wondering if the Brembo is worth the penny? how much does it usually cost and how many types are there that fits the Waja?

for breambo caliper not cheap oh ..more than 2k i guess..
use better brakes pads can d..or u can change to twin port calipers
*
2k for a pair? i've seen quite a lot of waja having brembo's brake, really makes me wanna get one too.

QUOTE(AoiNatsume @ Mar 23 2009, 09:38 AM)
brembo isnt lousy.. but most of the brembo that i've drove aren't really suitable for normal street drive. They are good, but given 1 condition that must be fulfilled, the brakes has to be warmed up properly.

The brake performs quite badly from a cold start, so im sticking with my nissan 4pot modded to 4 lugs. Reason i get nissan is... its the cheapest caliper+disc that can fit properly to my 17" rims perfectly.

try mintex instead its one of the best i've used for its price.

Best is definately Endless... but the price lagi best laugh.gif
It depends on how many litre u wanna flush, usually approx RM150-300. Also depending on the brand of the ATF that you use.

when you mention the brakes has to be warmed up, do you mean we need to have a gentle brake for a certain distance then only the brakes could performs at it is?

i would like to ask about springs for waja
currently im using the original spring, i would love to change to a more comfortable spring

i surveyed, a performance spring could cost around 300-400, and an adjustable spring could cost around 900-1.4k

i wonder why does the price varies so much? and what spring is more suitable for a comfort ride?

http://rthreeparts.com/

coz few dealer of sapura and R3 tell it to me.. seems its true coz.. both dealer selling both brands
and sapura got one abs thats actually similar to stock abs but lowered ur car abit also gives u cmfort ride..
but can't remember either its the yellow one or the black box one..
hmm.. if u said ur abs are from R3 also.. yup it is standard abs.. its just when u match it with R3 springs u got lowered
and comfort ride with good handling..
i can't tell aso the different between stock and R3 abs.. coz got already people using R3 abs said its a bit hard then stock abs..
*
so, there wont be any huge difference if i were to install the sapura spring although matching it with the performance abs?

usually when it comes to handling, you guys will most probably set up which part first? wheel, tyre, spring, abs?

my 4g18 touch 195 before, fully stock, but i bet its because of the slight slope on north-south highway
i always heard people said 4g18 stock able to break 200, i think its just a gimmick

QUOTE(Aurora @ Aug 23 2009, 06:41 PM)
Hi guys, I just got my car (mitsu 2004), and very happy with the car, except for the power window.  vmad.gif I try and troubleshoot myself, reverse engineered the power window module, I manage to figure out the pin-connection, and seems to be in good condition, but when I plug-in, it fail to function. I'm going to investigate this down to the bottom and reveal the bad engineering of proton.  whistling.gif

Anyway, that problem aside, there is another thing troubling me, the power steering. Whenever I turned the steering fast, i.e. during parking, I can hear "fluuuhhhss" kind of sound, I think it's the power steering hydraulic flowing through some restricter. FYI, the power steering work just fine. Should I be concerned about? Is that normal, or sign of breakdown?
Yup, mine around there, almost 120km/h. Just tested it this morning. At 130 and it will come to nearly 3.3k rpm. smile.gif

I suspect it could be your window switch, mine also failed me few months back, cost me RM90+

the switch should look like this
