hello all,
Another question to ask, last time, when i adjust my waja's headlamp height(using screw) the screw inside broke and i had to change it with a new headlamp..now, the new headlamp is so much brighter than the older one(which is 8 years old). the older 1 cant project the light beam as far and as strong as the new one. So, is there a way to clean/restore the old headlamp? at night driving, here in kelantan, the difference is quite big, very noticeable. Thanks alot. QUOTE(wch5274 @ Feb 13 2009, 01:15 AM) below 1k... This video show how to clean the outside part...mine, the problem is with the lens....instead of being transparent when the lights are on, it is now translucent. the problem lies with the lens..not the casing..the casing, no problem because it is made from glassidle during aircond off - 0.6~0.7 Idle during aircond on - 0.7~0.9 Added on February 13, 2009, 1:18 am try below method www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCP6XQc65xo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Doj1yxZsTEo&feature=related quite nice |

QUOTE(b48753 @ Feb 13 2009, 06:09 PM) Maybe you could try to replace the bulb. Try to use the same set. Last time had same problem like this with my previous car then afterwards everything looks balance. The bulb is ok...but can see the difference between 2 lenses...one is new....is very clear...while the old 1...translucent.. |

QUOTE(jackyleo009 @ Feb 26 2009, 05:39 PM) alternator is the one that charge the battery when the car running? Jerk? What kinds of jerk? I also facing some jerk problem but not so frequent... Between my car using ns55 battery ... Battery kong also can cause that starting problem? Between, how much you convert your engine from 4g18p to current now , zen sifu? Meter panel all that also have to change? Last time i also had the cold start problem..but after did the throttle body cleaning and changing the alternator...no problem at all..now, can start the engine and instantly on the air cond and change gear(mine auto).no problems at all compared to last time when the engine will struggle to stay alive.Added on February 26, 2009, 5:51 pmIsn't it normal for the engine to turn on when we are going to start the car? |

QUOTE(zenwarlord @ Feb 27 2009, 10:44 AM) that was exactly the same problem to me when I'm with 4G18, but my case is slightly better as my engine did not dead instantly, all I need to do is wait till the rpm drops then engage gear n swtich on aircon. Yea. earlier, i was told to clean the throttle body..it helps..but only for a while...then i didn't bother about it until im forced to change the alternator...2 batteries kong in 8 months..since then, no problem already. |

QUOTE(zaidi @ Mar 19 2009, 01:51 AM) from mudah.my Too tight also can have sound?shop is near PJ hilton, front of police station Added on March 19, 2009, 1:54 ammaybe you want to drain the tranny fluid and check if water went in the tranny. I once had jerking issue going uphill, went to clean the throttle body and replace the spark plugs all is well again. After doing the TB cleaning, checked all the sensors if there is issue with any of them, even the checkengine light is off. fanbelt too tight? |

QUOTE(loong2020 @ Mar 21 2009, 09:18 AM) hey...just want to ask...for waja mmc automatic...when i start the car...straight engage gear..the engine will automatic off.....have to wait few mins to prevent this...what is the problem ah??.... and for the brake fluid, the oil become dark in colour..but i test some by putting on the invisible container, the oil looks like yellow....is the oil contaminated? and 1 more thing..for the brake pedal, i have to press quite deep in order to stop the car.... For me, i did the throttle body cleaning..helps for awhile and then will mati again...the best solution is to change the alternator..until now, once start, can on air cond and put into reverse gear..no problem at all.As for the press quite deep, i think all wajas are like that.. |

QUOTE(cosmi @ Aug 25 2009, 12:46 AM) my mechanic told me that waja (4g18p) has 1 never can be solved defect, the ecu DO NOT has back up memory if power lost occur (eg. battery drained out) unlike other cars which have back up memory. so wht u need to do is to get to nearest authorised proton SC and ask them to reset your ecu and everything will get back to normal. Take out batter also will reset the ECU lahDon't have to go to SC, just drive the car around and it will recalibrate by itself. This post has been edited by ckk125: Aug 25 2009, 01:13 AM |

QUOTE(matt wee @ Aug 25 2009, 03:34 AM) you just take out the old battery and change to new battery as usual bro?or start the engine first and while the engine is running you take out the battery and then install the new battery? Mine, battery died till have to change new battery(alternator kong back then) The proper way would be to install a new battery while connecting it to a live battery...so that the car's alarm wouldn't be triggered(not important)When you installed the new battery was your car idling unstable? btw which year car you drive bro? Im using 2001 waja...8 years already...havent been to proton sc to do ECU recalibration. After driving awhile, it will be back to normal. Have you ever realised that after driving for a constant speed on highway, then once exit after highway, the car tends to feel sluggish? it is because the ECU has been recalibrated to constant speed driving. |
