Hi guys,

A newbie to lowyat waja thread. Let me introduce my ride..

Waja 2002 1.6 AT Artic Blue 16 inch rims stock car

Hope the experienced sifu of waja can help me a little here..

I have a major issue that I cannot resolve with my car.

The right rear suspension area gives a metal to metal knocking sound (tong tong noise), very loud, especially when someone (average weight of 60kg) sits on the right hand rear side when the car goes up and down a hump or pothole. Sometime without any load also will give that sound if I drive fast over a hump, so I know its not because of someone sitting there being too heavy is the cause.

I am thinking of changing the back coil spring, would that be a good idea & will resolve my problem? Or what do you guys think the problem is?

I am really frustrated with this sound and problem.

Thank in advance.

thanks yngwie,

Hope its a simple solution like you say, I have previously changed the shock absorber, that's why I start to suspect its the coil spring.

Funny thing, mechanics always tell me coil spring wont spoil, either too lazy to check for me or dont want my business? smile.gif
