Thanks everyone. The white car is a Pontiac Firebird with exposed engine and blue stripes.

I know the Pro Rodz sub categorized to Pro Rodz : Stylers. But they don't have opening hoods. Another category is Ridez which i also have but its not pictured here.

Nice collection Dannyl77. I don't think this forum thread going to close. Maybe those old timers isn't going to post here anymore or slowing down. But there are others who would like this place to go on casually.

Jada is expensive because,

- Its imported.
- Most of their cars are direct licenced from owners (actual race cars).
- Very very detailed, actual race cars.
- Only once issued packaging card.
- Vehicle size is slightly larger.
- Does not stick to one USa make, but a lot of Japanese cars too.

RM 24.90 compared to Maisto similar Custom, Pro Rodz, Ridez line RM19.90.

Cons - Some cars are way to cartoony. Standard drag rear axle is off scale (too big). Wheels offset is also off scale on standard body.

kurz, the blue one is special. Do you know why? It has the GULF racing colors of baby blue and orange and the wheels are different too. Its supposed to be matched to Ford GT-40 GULF racing car. Its historic and not supposed to be pretty. You bought the red one because it appeared in I AM LEGEND, the black one because it the 2008 Knight Rider KITT, the white one because its the official Ford racing color. In other case, your collection is not complete history wise, but complete as a showroom piece.

Kurz, its not supposed to be 100% same la. But you get the idea. They would only make those 100% reproductions for their higher lines. Or maybe some other companies got the license to make it. Sure the orange and blue isn't the same hue, but the idea is there. Hot Wheels creates their cars from historic and automobile related details. And those cars like VW fastback for you guys are in demand because its rare. But there is historic value is you dig it up a little.

I wanted the 288 GT0 because there is a history on it. For you guys its because that car is a ferarri. But for me that car is a test platform few years before the release of the F40 as stated in a few Ferarri history books. That is the main reason i wanted one. I only managed to get a yellow one last week. After months. No thanks to hoarders.

Guys i think there are too many 08 cars repackaged as 09 cars. Keep a look out on the right year release panel on the cards. You might be buying a double if those car is not what you need.

Doesn't make sense. When there was red color regular carded ferrari cars, all are snapped up like no tomorrow. Now Mattel issued such cars in 5 pack and more red ferraris in there than what you could score in a year!

I'm thinking that such packs DEVALUATE regular red ferrari carded ones easily. So those red ferrari collectors are actually boycotting this pack? BIG mistake on their side. I can say a lot why everyone should get this pack. I cannot see anything wrong with the cars. Its exactly like the regular carded cars.

Kukubeh how is it boring? Because the box is not colorful like their regular "Themed" boxes? Looking at the old Ferrari 5 packs, the boxes are equally as boring. And another reasoning comes out here. Why would you pay high prices for only 1 old carded ferrari when you can have 5? Some probably spend RM50 on a T-Hunt or some other so called rare cars. So now its like you pay for packaging? Little wonder 09 cars fly off the racks faster than any of the other years. So the colectors here dig having a Ferrari shell with a Kancil engine right? IC IC. rolleyes.gif
