Or maybe it could be that the ferrari is too abundant that it got no resell value, so ppl dont buy it. A lot of ppl is like that, buy bcos got value. When does a hobby become like that?, based on value instead of interests.
Yes!!!! thats the reply i was waiting for. It takes more than me alone to realise that there are people doing it for income among us. I would not call them true collectors as per se. Because bulk of their stuff is moved here and there. I'm not asking anyone to defend themselves for selling a bunch of similar items for higher price. But its a fact, that there are times these buyers create artificial shortage so they can market their goods later and then label it Hard To Find.
My problem is not with these guys buying up a lot. But they make one particular model scarce. Then they hold it up till they see fit to sell it back at higher price. And worse prices come in the form of ferrari. So Mattel DID address the problem by,
1: Making more '09 250 GTO. (This is an easy score apparrently)
2: Issuing the Ferrari 5 Packs with a lot of most wanted Ferraris.
3: Add more choice with Ferrari Racers series.
Its not the price of the 5 pack. I could see that there are about less than 100 ferrari 5 packs in KL alone. Enough to be obtained by every single colllector without shortage. But many are waiting for the magical price point of RM29.90. Even that you save 2 bucks. 2 freaking bucks!!! You can't even get a basic HW car with that amount! And that won't happen soon in many dept stores at the moment.
And don't complain from middle till end of the year on how hard is it to obtain these ferrari 5 packs.
