I bought a G500 already. It's available at Sri Computer, Viewnet and All IT.

I actually contemplated between this G500 and Sidewinder X8. Accuracy is excellent on G500. It's the rough sandy surface on the grip that made me think of refunding. There is also no room to rest my little finger, unlike typical Microsoft mouse.

Well, I think I am not going to return the mouse. It's pretty good after some real game test.

Yes, somewhat like sand paper also. biggrin.gif

Added on November 7, 2009, 11:28 pmAny existing G500 users? If there's no issue with the build quality, I'll just stick to this G500. I've tested l4d a little on it and it feels pretty good.

is the size of g500 almost the same as mx518?
the shape looks almost alike

I've used MX518 too; G500 is slightly taller, just a very little longer. The G500 has larger recessed area to place your thumb.

The old MX518 peels in just months. Hopefully my G500 doesn't distort. LOL laugh.gif

is there anyone already bought g500?
i read reviews where it says Rubber coating peels off within weeks.

i'm not sure how the rubber coating can peels off?
anybody encounter this problem yet?
*
If you just read 1 page before you post, it is obvious that I've bought a G500. There is no rubber coating in this mouse. Only rough plastic surfaces for grip. I also read of poor build quality reviews but I have yet to encounter any issue so far. It still looks like new.
