Form 4 is quite a big jump from Form 3 but there's definitely more to study in Form 5. Compared to Pre-U, Form 4 in like a foundation. Compared to uni, Form 4 is relaxing.

QUOTE(christopherliewcx @ Jan 6 2009, 10:22 PM) Hi, Form 4 is definitely a big leap from Form 3, but it's manageable. Tonnes of Malaysian students took Form 4, Form 5 & finally SPM, many scored a string of As. If you were doing fine during Form 3 (About Top 15 in first class), you should be fine. I got a shock also when I started my Form 4. Additional maths was puzzling, the tonnes of homework was suffocating, but I turned out fine, and so did many students. Form 4 & 5 science reports are important to boost your scores for the science subjects, so try to do it as well as you can as long as it does not interfere with preparation for exams.I'm form 4 this year.I know that is not a good year for me. Is Form 4 and Form 5 project important? To me is a waste of time doing my Form 3 project cause they dint count on my PMR paper which the teacher said it will but it dint. How about the question? Is it very difficult? Will it bring stress? |

QUOTE(ccm123 @ Jun 6 2009, 12:02 AM) For our case, we literally photocopied the add math project and passed it up, got relatively good grades i think Wow..you're a lucky dude. Are you proud of yourself? For mine, me and my groupmates spent almost half a day doing the project. I can still remember the question. It was about the best shape to make a water reservoir. So we used calculus and between a cylinder, hemisphere and cuboid; The cylinder is still the most cost effective. It really depends on what course you're taking. I can tell you that taking Electronic Engineering won't give you the time to play around that often. The start of the semester is always very easy-going. Then, as the semester progresses, you find more work piling up. The killer time is the end of the semester when all the projects are thrown at you and you'll have to sit for a final exam at the end. So time management is a must if you'd like to juggle work, play and socialising. This post has been edited by Thinkingfox: Jun 6 2009, 11:04 AM |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 6 2009, 11:25 AM) Form 4 hard?U must be jokin!Once u r in uni or Form 6,u will see hell.I really mean it.Form 4 is jus like a foundation process for u guys.Take it like this,if u work hard though whole form 4,form 5 u will be a bit relax..if u relax whole form 4..u might hav to do a bit more in form 5.But overall, everything i learned in Form 5 is NOT EVEN applicable in FORM 6..unless u mean those basic mathematics like 1+1 tat i guess it's a bit useful.t.So if u score 10As or bla bla bla..come to form 6 and show me whether u can score 4 flat. Then tat's the time u only talk.Sorry if i said something harsh.I have a junior fren who always come complain to me how hard form 4 is.. Dude, I think you're a bit on the emotional side. You're totally flaming him. Well, to be fair, to a Form 4 student, Form 4 would seem difficult. Once you procees to the next level, you'll see Form 4 as easy. My advice to TS is to take one step at a time. Everything seems difficult when you're doing it and your past experiences always seem simpler. Since you're not the first person to reach that level, you'll be fine. It's only difficult when you've reach a level where others have never reached (i.e. within your field), say post-doctoral studies in whatever field you specialise in.So now u get wat i mean?Get the comparative? So now do u think Form 4 is hard? Btw,@dy/dx Ur forum pic..is tat really u?Wow u look gorgeous and somehow i think u look alike Karena Lam This post has been edited by Thinkingfox: Jun 6 2009, 02:16 PM |

QUOTE(jusco1 @ Jun 11 2009, 03:50 PM) The real honeymoon year is Form 1. It's so much easier compared to Standard 6 and there's nothing really much to study. Everything's relaxing. Form 1 is still the best year of my life. |
