What's the price now for ori set?. Am thinking of getting this after I've collected enough money. But seeing all these complaints about earpiece problems. Considering that this is supposed to be a multimedia phone, volume problems for a phone of this calibre is unacceptable. This upgrade is a big leap from my current 2310. So I would expect great reliability from a phone worth 10x more. I just hope that if I ever get this phone, all probs should come out within the warranty period, if I ever get one. I was thinking of either this, or the waaaaaay cheaper 5320. Kinda like a supercar this 5800. It's got the power, the looks, the excitement, the hype, but it'll break down or explode after a few miles.

QUOTE(mykpin88 @ Jan 7 2009, 11:48 AM) wow what a good comparison with car.. but i don't think it explode. service perhaps? but problems solve when u send it to repair or DIY here's the link http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/897935/+720entry22781665 Wow, pretty easy. But I wouldn't do this very early though. I'm pretty brave at fixing mechanicals, but electronics, not so. Electronics are still too "magical" for me.

QUOTE(alpha_company @ Jan 8 2009, 09:12 AM) I would say this is a first for above 1k price range.. We could only say nokia is selling at this price point is to get back some market shares IF ori n97 prices are also cheaper than AP prices. we'll wait and see if nokia is really trying to get market shares back... IMO, nokia AP phones are also NOKIA phones and as long as they sell it off it doesn't matter to them globally. for me the price of nokia 5800 is cheap because of the country it's made in and the materials that it's made of. made in china-cheaper costs use a lot of plastics-cheaper costs that's y u dont see a low priced nokia 8800. the 8800 series is build of high end materials and that's y it doesn't come cheap. main point here is that the price is cheap because of what the phone is made of. Yeah, 8800 Carbon Arte, costs as much as a decent laptop. RM6000+.

Well if you did sell off your G900, you at least "fell" for something.

QUOTE(eddyann @ Jan 13 2009, 02:23 PM) at 1st thinking of getting one. but the lagging thing, changed my mind. better wait for the upcoming N97, surely beats 5800 anytime. by the way price in malacca is RM 1390 zitron set. cheap or not Quite good. In Sabah Zitron set here is still selling at 1499 in official Nokia store.

QUOTE(wayfeel @ Jan 15 2009, 12:05 AM) the CPS one u mentioned i think is a pretty good shop, MPS. cuz i see many customers (buying) many times. some models they sell mostly APs, if not all. what do u think of good vendor in CPS? The lady at Centre Point seems to be very knowledgeable when it comes to her phones. She memorises the spec for almost every single one she's selling. I think I'm gonna buy from that shop. It is listed in Nokia's website, so that's for the peace of mind.

QUOTE(whojen @ Jan 15 2009, 09:14 PM) memorizing doesn;t that make you a great sales person:D i think thier general review and pro and cons. i think consider better Yes she was aware of the phones defects and advises no matter what, don't open it and try to fix it yourself. Overall she seems honest and nice.
