WIMAX best for malaysia budget users to play WoW... constant 200-300ms.... no futher than 350ms ....

if you got a good NIC.. that included internal memory. You will get at least 150ms..

For now..... once more people jump in, and they widen their coverage area... all that good bandwidth bites the dust.

Jaring Flite Wireless 400ms - disconnect on every boss fight in 25mans.

Streamyx 600ms - can do boss fights in 25mans the whole day no problem.

Ignore this guy

And gaming wireless with wimax is different with all wireless networks in malaysia .. they are using more better wireless technology than G and N,,, the sidebands of the frequency is quite far and high.

I'm on P1 WiMAX... so far ok... however, the tech guy told me... if you are staying on hi-rise... 10 Floor and above might have weak reception, just like any other wireless services out there... and area dependent...

I supposed wireless broadband is very area dependant...

I stay at Jln Kuching... near Segambut. My P1 reception is from Kepong tower...

so far very satisfy...

I only got DC once during a heavy thunder storm... thumbup.gif

Unfortunately, I'm sad to report that P1 has gone down the drain for me.

After the 1st month, the connection is now extremely laggy with spikes up to 2k ms.

Running 10 / 25man raids are pretty much impossible.

Report to P1 was made a month ago and they are "looking into it" after the whole "reposition your modem" / "ipconfig /release" / send technician over to look at RSSI/CNR / perform test at P1 center process.

Hopefully, I can come back with good news one of these days

P1 just set a booth outside my condo in seri kembangan.
Thus i am so eager and i go have a look and the dealer so nice and do a demo at my 17th floor pent house.
and guess wat its totally NO SIGNAL lol
maybe its new or what soever so i just ask him to maybe contact their technical and check to see any errors. LOL
cause the dealer himself stay in 17th floor of his condo or apartment and he got no problem using p1 wimax in his area,
so i guess its area dependent then.

yes, it's very area dependant. I stay above 20 floor, and still I'm getting good connections. icon_rolleyes.gif

i dont know about you guys but im using the one with 40GB

Only " Porn Dlers " will use more than 40gb per month seriously

P1WIMAX is of course better than Streamyx also they doesnt dc and they dont need stupid lame " good ip address " to connect and get good latency

Also if you dont like it you can boost it with Lowerpath to get better latency.

streamyx suck at everything unless you used their business which is most likely impossible for low class gamers like us.

I was able to DL stuffs from unpaid websites like rapidshare megaupload up to 250kbps without even pay their monthly fee.

Maximum was 500kbps when i was dling a update at www.micrrosoft.com

P1 WIGGY is better for gaming though , gives you 10mbps , averge 5-8 mbps , lowest 1-3mbps but i never seen mine going that low. The lowest was 4mbps.

From what I heard from my friend, it is not only area dependent. It also depends on the time you use it. At night, it is generally slower compared with early morning.
