I think it's a trap or a scam of somesort. In any case, the advertising is highly disingenious. The pic you see in the advertisement

is of Patrick Chu of WWChan in Hong Kong, and the customer is Will Boelke. Certain not a Malaysian tailor. No address, no phone number.

Added on January 22, 2011, 10:03 pmBTW I discovered a new motherload of MOP buttons today. So cheap, so serviceable. I bought 4 dozen. Suk mai dik.

hello all,

any of you guys know anywhere i can alter a leather jacket, preferably in penang?

Anyone can share their experience with leather fixx company on fixing their leather jacket?

Thank you very much.

Don't know any place in Penang. But Pertama Kompleks in KL has several shops that custom-make leather jackets, shoes and bags. Should be able to accommodate.

What's the current market rate for a tailored shirt using the tailor's (unbranded) fabric?

There's no market rate, they vary greatly between different tailors. Minimum price i know is ~rm70 (?).

Say, a decent tailor that doesn't mess up the job?

RM130-RM160 for cotton-poly blends, >RM200 for 100s cotton. At Bespoked prices begin at RM280 (for reasons we mere mortals will never understand).

Yup, Bespoked quoted me that price for a shirt. I slowly backed out the door and and spent that money on 2 GAP shirts.

topcut, amcorp mall - the man says hes worked before at klcc tailor and knows most of the tailors around
had a chat with him and he does seem to have a clue
*
Never heard of them. Safe your money buddy. For 2.2k you can get a very nice canvassed suit using the tailor's cloth. On top of that you'll have spare change to get yourself a decent pair of shoes. Do check out forum favorite Ah Loke Tailor. Or even Kwong Fook Wing.
