Added on November 19, 2010, 12:30 pmcan u please tell me how much they charge As you've decided to take the path of less resistance, perhaps you should try the 24 hour place near Semua House that stocks a large number of poly blend wool

QUOTE(Cheenoo @ Nov 22 2010, 01:14 PM) Anyone had experiences with Batu Ferringhi tailors? An friend visiting from abroad went to a 24 hour job when he was staying in one of the beach hotels. Didn't have the heart to tell him that he looked more Pavarotti than Pierce Brosnan when wearing the suit!!

QUOTE(kotmj @ Nov 24 2010, 10:33 PM) I forgot to add that there are special prices for lilfreak and beau. RM999 and RM899 respectively for an original oak nut label. TQ. 1. It has to be the limited edition by Giorgio Armani as worn by Brad Pitt in some movie where Lill Freak is concerned and 2. I never buy locally when I can obtain things at significantly cheaper prices through my people in England 3. Why don't I sell you the ones I have for RM$400 & you can on sell it to LilFreak for your usual mark up.

QUOTE(kotmj @ Dec 21 2010, 12:00 AM) Brioni guy, you've got PM. I have soaked and laundered all the Zegnas and even ironed one just now. As beau has implicated, Zegna does not make it's own shirting. So I was ironing this Zegna and something became very clear. It felt exactly like an Alumo. The satin stripes looked liked what Alumo would produce. The cloth is superbly soft and smooth. It was prone to wrinkles, like any superfine cotton. I think that piece is an Alumo. The other two pieces are not on this level. Having said that, the range of fabrics made for Zegna & other designers are made in limited quantities as compared to their usual run . There is therefore some assuarance of exclusitivity.

QUOTE(gfunk11 @ Jan 6 2011, 01:31 AM) Can anyone recommend me a good tailor in Klang Valley please? I've tried Bespoked & my suit cost me RM2.2k. Decent pricing, with pretty good fit. Definitely liked the way it looked on me. Price seems a bit pricey & am looking for alternatives out there. Anyone can point me in the right direction? Any chance for a wool suit between RM1.5-2k? Else I may have to turn to Bespoked for my suit. Any help is much appreciated. Buying your own fabric will help reduce the cost

QUOTE(newx @ Apr 18 2011, 10:45 PM) Is split yoke on small check shirts impossible or the tailor is not skilled enough? Lines do not intersect correctly Not true-This depends on whether :- 1. There is sufficient fabric and 2. The shirt maker has cut the pattern well and 3. The finisher has sewn the yokes correctly to align the patterns On a high end bespoke shirt , the split yokes are made in an inverted "V" and should be measured separately to account for the differences between the left & right shoulder blade

QUOTE(Cheenoo @ Sep 6 2011, 07:23 PM) There have been many instances on this thread and on this forum where a tailor made shirt fits worse than something from uniqlo. Don't believe it? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Totally agree. With RTW (Ready to wear) you get what you see (& fit ) With Bespoke , the item in question can fit better in the hands of a skilled artisan. It can also be a sartorial disaster in the hands of a novice. The only problem is, you will find out how it will turn out sometime down the road when the item is ready for delivery.
