hi, this forum started so long ago wow but I just completed college and would want to pursue biomed. is the situation still the same, like no job opportunities and end up doing sales? Has anyone tried going abroad and got a job related to the biomed field?

The advise is still - 'Do not do it'
Job prospect is terrible for Biomed graduates in Malaysia.

thankiu for the reply! does this mean like other non-sci degrees such as communications graduates can even earn more or find a job...?

I don't know about communications degree but I can tell you that you are better off studying something else than Biomedical Science.

Hell, even becoming a fully qualified and trained teacher is better than Biomedical Science nowadays and I am saying this as a Biomedical graduate myself...

Even if you don't work in Government service as a school teacher - you can freelance your service as a private tutor or work in tuition centers/private schools... and if you do work as a teacher in government schools you can supplement your income by tutoring.... you will have a stable life.

If you are still keen on healthcare related field - try something different - such as Audiology or Speech Therapy, these occupations ARE in demand and there are so few graduates from these field. Go google/youtube these profession.
