Really can not trust Proton service  mad.gif

Well, my reason using for 3 times is because I will ONLY go to proton sc for 3 times, after that, to hell with the proton sc...of cos I will keep those things for future usage..hehehe...
Thanks alot, Hypro....

dear all,

I went to a trusted mechanic recently, he informed me that proton ppl told him that campro engine needs 4 litre of engine oil.
Anyone would like to clarify this?

I also tried what Hypro suggested on how to use the syringe and rubber tube to suck out the engine oil. I found no place to put in the rubber tube, be it at the engine cover (where we pour in the engine oil) nor the oil level indicator (a pipe that is inserted the min/max steel indicator) at the engine.
How would Hypro do it?

Thanks.

guys, if wanna go for USB and cheaper solution, consider FM Modulator.
Market price range from RM30 to RM100++.
Plug this modulator into your lighter socket (near your gearbox), tune in to your radio, then you can enjoy your USB songs already...

the JPJ guy said by regulation for 1.3 car, fuel warning kick-up when u got around 3L of fuel left in the tank.
on 1.6 fuel warning kick-up when u got around 6L of fuel left in the tank. but then he said except for Proton. For ALL proton car the fuel warning kick-up when actually there is around 10L of fuel in the tank..!!!!!!!

This would be kinda strange, bcos NONE of the SC mechanics, technicians or the "EXPERTS" from PESC aware of this, and inform us about it, while a 'typical' guy from JPJ, 'INFORMED' you about this...!?!?!??!?!?!?
What and why had PROTON done to deceive and mislead it's customers?

i think i do heard PROTON claim some time ago (maybe during persona or savvy launching). It said that "Even with fuel warning is ON, Proton cars can still go about 100km more before completely out of petrol"
Let see, take the worst case proton fuel consumption ~ 10km/L , 100km will consume about 10L. This all make sense.
Please do correct me if i'm wrong.
i'm new by the way. tongue.gif

You are right. But then, when the fuel warning turns on, it means we have another about 7L - 10L, and we pump in only about 30L - 33L max, or about RM58 - RM65 max. Total would be around 37L - 40L max. Where's the remaining 10L - 13L? You know what I mean?
Therefore, you and I, would also expect that Persona has a capacity of 40L fuel tank, in contrast to what the owner's manual had claimed.

Rustynail,
As to the PESC/EON mechanics pouring 4L of engine oil into the engine, I also faced the similar situation. So I went to my common mechanics for further explanations, they too told me that Campro engines need 4L. I was speechless...

KKW,
It all depends on the PESC/EON centres that you approach. As for the centre that I went, they did not allow me to bring my own engine oil. So I asked why? The boss told me that I might purchase a 'fake' kinda engine oil outside! So, you try your luck.
By the way, the centre that I went uses SHELL helix 10/40 for all its services. Nevertheless, I was pleased by that. No complaint.

If you complain to SC, they won't know what to do.. they will only 'tighten screw' which does nothing. doh.gif

Ahh hahahah...yeah, some more, 2 persons "screwed up" my car during my first complaint about this metal clunking sound...hahhah...

I just replaced all 4 brake pads with Bosch Power Plus. Total: RM110 only.

I have used it before. Brake feel is a lot better, low dust and quite lasting. It is probably the best brake pads you can buy for that money.

Other pads may bite better, but they also produce more dust and sound. I really like the progressive feel of the Bosch Power Plus.

Recommended to all Persona owners.

bought them at PH Auto, PJ. it is a spare parts shop. I believe you can find it at other shops too, but price may vary.

Very well Overfloe, I am staying at PJ as well.
Mind to tell the exact location of this PH Auto? Which landmark? As in same row with what company? For eg. next to Taman Sea CIMB bank, opposite Shell station.
Thanks in advance.
