m considering billy as well to store my toys...is it dust proof mate?
*
Its not entirely dust proof if you live in dusty areas or near the highway.

So far for me the dust only builds up a little after a period of 6-8 months. maybe because my home is far away from the main roads.

If you really want 100% dust proof you can choose to install a rubber lining in the middle section of the glass. that way, when friends come over to view your treasure you just remove it. Problem solved

cant believe i've waited too long for MMS DX01 joker.
When will hot toys ship them?
They've promised july, then they told us its delayed to august and now September to october?
Oh man really hope they wont gonna release the cop next year ALONG with MMS DX02 batman. Now that wuld really piss me off.
*
Bro delayed shipping from HT is really a normal thing, normally the ETA will be about 3-6 months delayed depending on their work load back at their factory.
Its a good thing too for collectors for delayed shipping, since if everyone order most of their products one shot, if all comes in together on time, sure will be broke. laugh.gif

Yeah bro, i saw another friend of mine who paired the medicom ghost rider with that ultimate ghost rider bike, best of all he custom spray the parts on the bike to make it more menacing. the results are really eye popping.

will those dust harm our HT collections if we display them in open space for a very long period of time?
*
Actually not really, the difference i notice dust normally dont get caught on a 12-inch as much because its body length is vertical when place standing position. the dust normally end up around the floor of the glass display only.

You can just take a normal soft brush to dust off your figures if it gets too dusty.

But the thing you wouldn't want is dust building up on your figure until it turns into the sticky type if your room is warm or hot in the afternoon.

Thing is most of us cant be cleaning so many figures at once. So it is advisable to get a display cabinet to store all your 12-inch figures.

Just share my haul for today.....something grey.
user posted image
My personal opinion on the stealth iron man, the paint if you look closer first hand, its actually matt grey pearl, which i don't know how hottoys manage to pull that off for a start.
The paint actually makes the figure a little heavier than the normal mark III, and also feels smooth and a little cold when you touch the paint finishing.

At first i wonder why the heck HT called this the stealth iron man, but then when i got it, you can understand that when you off the lights on your display cabinet, the matt grey colour makes the whole figure like its in stealth darker shade of black . Hard to explain this cause cheap ass camera can't take good photo in low light conditions without flash.

Paint wise thank god i didn't send my extra mark III to try and replicate the paint on the stealth iron man.
It might be a little hard to get the paint colour code correct, and also difficult to paint the abdomen part on the armour.
Since its a combination of pvc mesh with plastic parts on the body.

All in all since i am biased for iron man, i would say any collector who wanna complete or just have one of the best iron man, this would be it.
So i give a 10 out of 10 but then again i'm broke like a biatch now, damn!!

nice my friend....hope can pick mine up next week....and you are right damn broke.....luckily got plastic and month end coming soon...

show lah the connor and snake......
*
Yeah man seriously broke already. Credit limit almost exploded some more.

Hahaha, ok bro promise will snap and post some picture later, quite tired leh just got back to display and admire the stealth until 4am just now. icon_rolleyes.gif

All i can say at the moment, when you hold John Conner in your hand, you are really holding christian bale, its so scary accurate the paintwork on the sculpt.
Really gotta tip your hats off to Kojun and J.C. Hong for pulling off such a feet. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Snake eyes i'm sure everyone knows how iconic he is in the classic G.I. Joe series.
And i'm sure some of you seen the figure being modded with muscle body to even bring out the figure to another level in other forums.
When movie came out, price for it goes even higher, due to the fact non collectors also want this fellar.

so quiksilve, u re 1 of the lucky dudes who managed to grab the gunmetal from XL-Shop, congrats on the haul n u re reli makin me feel like keepin mine (when i ship it here from singapore)
*
Yup bro, really can't imagine i was so lucky to get the stealth.Seriously last thing on my mind.

When you hold the stealth in your hands, you will even understand better why i said keep your stealth man.
Weight and finishing worth every penny.

Think of the extra you are paying is for special customizing service by the HT team.

Packaging box also feels more solid and different opening style from the usual mark III box.
The HT team could have just recycle the same old Mark III box and just place the stealth in there, with different colour printing, but glad they did something different.
Try to ask your friend to wrap the box with bubble wrap if possible, cause the box is so nice you don't wanna risk it being damage.

Not yet bro, been busy playing with john conner. Probably will try tomolo.
Meanwhile try to inject more poison to those still thinking or not yet purchase john conner.
Found a good way to stand john conner without too extreme pose with one leg on chain gun and the other on the T-600's face.
No photoshop skills but somehow manage to capture flash on left eye of the T-600, seems like he running out of power and dying in the few pics.
Enjoy the poison guys. biggrin.gif

hey quiksilve, just wonderin, i mean i heard bout the diff in color between the 1st batch n the later batches but is it obvious? diff in wat sense? will reli appreciate the info if u should know but if u re not reli sure oso then its ok.
*
The difference with first batch iron man mark III, is that the colour of the candy red and gold on the suit has more pearl effect when shine direct under spotlight.
You can see that the colour is deeper red and also deeper gold.
But the thing is first batch was also a prototype painting style for the HT team, so choosing and spotting a mark III that is perfect with less scuffing marks is very difficult.
I would rate in a box of 6 if you are lucky maybe you can get 1 or 2 units that is near flawless.

The LED lights on the first batch mark III is the brightest among all. You can tell the difference in the light on the chest, when placed next to a second batch or third batch.
You can see the difference most obvious in the light reflected on the mark III helmet eyes.

Actually many collectors didn't know about this, even for me, but then when the 2nd batch and 3rd batch came in, i noticed the slight differences from the 1st batch in colour finishing and LED brightness
One easy spot to lookout for is that the 2nd batch and 3rd batch has lighter finishing red on the elbow joints of the hands, its lighter in colour as compare to the 1st batch.

Masterlaoda was lucky enough to bought my last unit 1st batch iron man mark III, quite rare in the market already now.

Cheers bro hope this info is good enough.

Your dome on the ED also still looking pristine mint. I read and saw before other collectors dome already start giving problems after a year or so, maybe their weather are different from our malaysia weather

Can see especially in this pic

Hopefully la, but i don't think hottoys will re-make the robocop series.

But fingers cross hopefully they make a new one with more articulation since they have improved so much, face sculpture not sure whether they have the actual actor license or not.

But if can get surely will be the ultimate robocop already. DX version with extra heads whoahhhah. drool.gif
