Pairing it with my newly acquired Sony 65"A8H OLED TV and Vaio SX12:

The verdict: if you are looking for a simple, no fuss set-up, get this. Don't listen to reviews saying that it lacks of bass since it doesn't come with a subwoofer. The built-in 4 woofers in the 11 individually amplified drivers set-up can literally blow you away.

One more thing, it doesn't need to be mounted on the wall; it can be placed on top of a cabinet. That is the core concept of placement flexibility.

I was intrigued by their belief.

They believe in transparency, ethically sourced materials, honest pricing.

Their products are the children of the marriage of the East and the West.

Free shipping by Fedex. No tax, hooray!

There was no doubt about it:

How's the quality of the products attacusatlas? Are they worth it? They keep popping up on my feed and am interested to try.

Hey bro, it has been a while, where have you been?

Personally I would say yes.

I was considering either Nomad or Grams(28) initially. Although Nomad is more popular, based in California, it doesn't offer personalisation unfortunately. Besides, the Nomad laptop sleeve that I was looking for was out of stock in black colour, and there was no tentative date when will it be replenished.

On the other side, I am a sucker to brand stories. And personalisation. Grams(28) offers both. Most of their products are still hand-crafted, in this small leather factory in Hong Kong. They have this pertinacity, or 'stubbornness' charm, very much alike to the Japanese artisans.

Btw, what are you looking for? Laptop sleeve or phone sleeve?

I decided that I needed another pair of spectacles.

This round is a 10 Eyevan:

Comes with a soft case in suede and a hard case. The hard case is the most interesting object, nothing like what I have seen before. It was hand forged in red copper, an alloy of copper with 5% gold added:

How's your H9i holding up so far? I managed to get a sealed unit of the Rimowa edition but can't decide on whether to sell it or keep it for personal use because technically can get H9 3rd Gen for cheaper.

Saw some reviews online, some prefer H9i to H9 3rd Gen and vice versa. But the Rimowa casing is a plus point  biggrin.gif

I like it so much. The main reason why I was getting it was because of its collab with Rimowa.

You shouldn’t sell yours, it is a keeper.

Looks really buttery and smooth. How's the quality of BV nowadays? I've heard from some ladies that it has went down alot (they don't even supply boxes for bags).

I am not too sure about the boxes but to me the quality is still the same.

I sampled this before at Robinsons @ Four Seasons Place before it closed down last year, and it has been in my wish list:

London Oud from the house of Fragrance du Bois, under the Fashion Capitals collection. It even comes with a outer box:

user posted image

Though it has Oud written on it, trust me, this one is really safe especially if you can't accept Oud scent. The London Oud was originally created as a bespoke fragrance for David Haye, a former World Boxing Champion. His brief was for a fresh fragrance with no powerful Oud note, and it took over 18 months until David had the exact fragrance he wanted. Just like how some of my friends described it, it has this sophisticated, designer smell:

Five o'Clock au Gingembre in 100 ml with the new packaging design language:

There was a little story behind this. When i first learned about Serge Lutens, I have always wanted to get the Five o'Clock au Gingembre. Unfortunately it wasn't available when I visited Singapore way back in 2013. Hence, I picked up the Fille en Aiguilles:

QUOTE(attacusatlas @ Jan 28 2013, 05:15 PM)
I was at Singapore during the long weekend that coincided with two public holidays - don't you just love Malaysia? I dropped by the Escentials, Tangs Orchard last Friday, browsing through an array of fragrances and candles, attended by a very nice and polite young lady. She, a Singaporean, kept on bringing out all the fragrances and candles until I had to ask her to cease. She told me it was ok. We chatted for quite a few hours and I sampled almost half of the Serge Lutens, Creed and a couple of Amouage, CDG and L'Artisan.

I ended up getting a bottle of Fille en Aguilles by Serge Lutens. My initial intention was to sample the Five O'Clock Au Gingembre and if the scent suits me, procure it. However it was out of stock when I was there.

I was thrown in a rather generous samples by the young lady - Himalaya, Original Vetiver, Aventus, Chergui and Daim Blond.

user posted image

The Aesop x APC was procured at the Aesop's flagship store at the Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya) whist the eco-luxury Ecoya candle was at the Club Street.

Another reason for me to fly over to Singapore was to pick up my delivery from DHL:

user posted image
*
The one on the right, Fille en Aiguilles in 50 ml, is now available only in bell jar. FYI the bell jars are frequently known as the Paris Exclusives and available only at Serge Lutens Paris’ headquarters:

user posted image

There is a little DIY required to replace the cap with the accompanied sprayer:

user posted image

The scent? Warm, woody. It is safer than the Fille en Aiguilles. However, majority will opt for Chergui which is alot more acceptable.
