I joined a bulk purchase not too long ago since Harrods was having sales.

These were what we ordered:

I can only afford this - a bottle of 100ml Le Labo Bergamote 22. The two complimentary decants, Enchanted Forest by Vagabond Prince and Tabac Rose by BDK Parfums, were courtesy of my friend who organised this bulk purchase:

Should you purchase Le Labo from the boutique, they will freshly hand-blend your order in front of you and personalise it by indicating the date and name on the label. Nothing is pre-made prior to any order but not for any online purchase though:

My first Le Labo was a gift way back in 2014, Rose 31 in 50ml. Don't shy away when you hear 'rose' - this is a very wearable rose scent perfume for both genders:

There is a Le Labo boutique located in KLCC should you wish to have a sniff or order a bottle. Fyi, Malaysia is the first in this region to house a standalone Le Labo boutique.

As usual, very well packed in bubbled jacket:

I have heard some good reviews about this fragrance, Bal D'Afrique or in plain English, African Ball, by the Stockholm-based niche house Byredo:

Earlier this year I procured a bottle of Sunday Cologne. As you can see from the bottle it is under utilised:

A parcel came all the way from Amsterdam, Netherlands. Delivered by DHL, which will tell you two facts: first, fast delivery and second, sure got taxed.

Packaging was so-so only, no where near Mr Porter Endclothing Matchesfashion but a lot more better than Asos:

'Some' shoe horns by Abbeyhorn that can last for generations - from top, shoe horn with hook, tip end and stag handle:

I have not been adding any new pocket square to my collection for the longest time, so getting another Drake's in lighter shade:

This set was on discount heavily - a Saphir Medaille d'Or (MdO) shoe care set consists of a leather carrying case, two cans of 50ml waxes, a horsehair brush, a polishing cloth and applicator cloth:

I opted for navy and light brown:

Another group purchase, this round was from Aus Liebe zum Duft (First in Fragrance). They were offering 20% discount to celebrate 20 years in business.

The whole parcel was delivered and arrived at my friend's place last Friday. Since we both can't really meet up, he has been kind enough to deliver it using a driver:

Portrait of A Lady by Frederic Malle. The nose behind this scent is the perfumer Dominique Ropion. The pocket perfume quiz was a gift from my friend that came together in the parcel:

My first bottle of Frederic Malle was purchased in Paris in June 2013, a 'dwarfted' 50ml Angeliques Sous La Pluie. You might be wondering why a 50ml and not a 100ml? After all, the price was not much different. Well, if you have a Home Minister watching over your shoulder, you should know the feeling well.

If you are interested in sampling some Frederic Malle, our local store Ken's Apothecary has recently added in this perfume house to their stable.

Love the Abbeyhorns, one of the best shoe horns out there. I was given one to put on the shoes at Edward Green and I knew immediately I had to get them.

I've always wanted one of those leather shoe care case but I need one big enough lol.

I am still in search of a proper wooden shoe valet box. May need to commission a wood craftsman after selecting the wood type.

Saphir has some really nice wooden valet boxes with drawers. Saw one made out of Rosewood. I also fancy one by Crockett & Jones, comes with a leather handle and tiered storage.
*
Yup I have been contemplating in getting the valet box by Saphir but on the other side I have an idea to use local timber wood like chengal, meranti or balau to add some Malaysia identity. Again, it is just an idea, nothing concrete yet.

I used to have those exact law statutes when I was studying in the UK. Out of curiosity are you working as a lawyer over in the UK?
*
It is a shame that I am neither a lawyer, nor residing in UK.

I was studying my 3rd degree in LLB more than 16 years ago on part time basis, and met my better half there as a law student. Those statutes are some of the memorabilia my wife and I are still keeping.

Btw, are you a lawyer, or a law student yourself?

I think it'll be pretty cool to have a patterned box made out of different woods.
Imagine the amount of shopping you would do here in uk biggrin.gif

I know I will go bankrupt if I ever reside in UK tongue.gif

Ah no wonder those books look so familiar. Yes, I am currently practicing in KL, tried to get a job/placement in the UK last time, but it is difficult for foreigners to enter any of the law firms there when you have to compete with locals.

Would love to migrate to UK tho, shopping there is also very memorable on oxford circus and new bond street. @Kelvw, you are permanently residing in London? I'm envious smile.gif

It is good that you are practising what you learned , not like me, master of none tongue.gif

Personally I think Malaysia is equally as good as in UK.

Time to unbox the long overdue purchase from Endclothing. Again, it was a group purchase as with my meagre contribution it was impossible for me to qualify for free international shipping by Fedex.

These were what we ordered:

These were my contribution:

A black 500ml Kinto travel tumbler, crafted from stainless steel in double-walled construction. What does it simply mean is it retains both heat and cold, and will not cause any discomfort to your hands when you hold it. Also, since it is powder-coated, it prevents scratches which makes this ideal for any drink on the go:

I think I mentioned before that I have no fashion sense, and a self-proclaimed boring (nerdy) guy. Hence, with my limited knowledge I only procure Fred Perry polos.

A special collaboration between Fred Perry and Japanese label Beams for the very first time. It features a multiple Laurel Wreath logos in super oversized silhouette:

It comes with four Laurel Wreath logos:

For those who have been to Japan, Beams will be no stranger to you. Starting as a small retail shop in Harajuku, Tokyo in 1976, Beams has since grown into a conglomerate lifestyle chain store in Japan.

And in case you want to know, yes, our parcel was taxed.

If I would to wrap up my year 2020 haul in one word, it will be 'fragrance'. In total I have procured 21 full bottles, a coincident figure to usher in new year 2021:

p/s: please appreciate this photo as I may lose my freedom should my Home Minister find it out. This photo was taken whilst she was away.
