u wn me go 5ghz a .even if i do so i dun think vantage will increase much,since its balanced between graphic and processor,but 3dmark06 on the other hand more towards processor

I'm stuck with the clock as below...
cannot Overclock.....at all.

What are the problems/symptoms when you overclock?

What software you using to overclock?

it turns to 1 colour screen....either whole green....grey....etc u get the picture.
Then it will not respond.Pressing the reset button will sets off my mobo to diagnose the gpu slot got problem( ep45-ds4 feature)
but it wont restart...have to do a 3 sec press to shutdown. dunno why this card so...


evga precision.maybe this software not gud?

try use 182 diver and rivatuner...

That's very odd and I've never encountered such a problem before either. Did you change the PCI-E frequency from the default 100Mhz? Why not you try and use Rivatuner as it's simpler and more universal.

errr....wanna ask la. is it worth it to OC GTX285?

currently running on stock, quite scare to OC it. is there any big jump in performance between stock n OC one?
(dun wan my GTX285 to fly u know)

OC is bonus.

unlike proc, GC tend to died faster when OCing it.

wanna try though but if something goes wrong, i wont get to use my rig before new card@ repaired card coming up.

yeah usually glitches then hang....but now it seems like the card had gone thru super extreem overclock untill situation like tat.dun u agree?

dunno on fresh windows.too lazy to reinstall my "game infested" windows.

Prior to GTX260, are you running an ATI or nVidia card? It's really odd because even if it was overclocked previously, it should still be able to overclock now.

i using evga precision. jus downloded.. i set the fan speed to 70 % but i can hear my gprahic card fan is not increasing the speed.. n the temperature dint go down at all.. can somebody help me with this ?

Added on May 20, 2009, 10:10 ami use rivatuner also samething happen... wirtten there fan speed 70 % in riva tuner / evga.. but the fan i 100 % comfirm it dint increase.. i feel it with my hand and hear it also

Can you provide more details like what is your driver version, etc? Does Rivatuner detect your drivers correctly?

@gee_wee i think your graphic card fan is 2pin one= cannot adjust fan speed

3 pin ?? i using 9800 GT.. jus plug in PCIE slot n start using it already... no cable for me to connect the GPU fan to MOBO at all

Download the plugin from here

extract it and install vcredist_x86.exe
copy VT1165.dll to the location where you installed your rivatuner and put inside PlugIngs/Monitoring. Example-(C:/Program Files/Riva Tuner v2.24/PlugIns/Monitoring)
then double click the VT1165.reg

after that go to rivatuner open hardware monitoring







If rivatuner do not show up the tab i highlighted , means your card dont have Volterra voltage regulator or you do not put the plugin correctly or install vcredist_x86 correctly.







This method i already tried at Windows xp 32bit, Windows vista 32bit & 64bit. This method work with gtx260 65nm, gtx280, gtx295, Ati 4870x2 and some reference 4870.

hello guys i want to know whats the max stable 3d oc any of you while gaming using palit gtx 260 sonic core 216 55nm without voltage tweak and with voltage tweak for core/shader/memory

as its very cheap now for rm 630 so its under my considerations thanks in advance.
