i bought a phone yesterday,not in this forum.its from mudah.com.my
cod with the seller 1st,he said battery flat so cant check the condition.
ask for the warranty,he said he bought it at UK.
he said he will pass to his fren,to charge first.
so i met with his fren at nite,n his fren giv me the fon.
i've check the fon,everything is like original Nokia N82.
even at camera part,state carl zeiss 5mp.
the firmware is V 10.0.046
since i'm not using nokia before this,i dont realize the diff of its user interface.
only after i went back home,i check that the box state www.nokia.com.cn (china).
and this fon dun hv Wi-fi,no 5mp camera setting,no 3G,and its diff from nokia N82 according to my fren.
what should i do?call them but they not picking up.
information that i hv is their fon num.

his fren num(micheal)*dun know the rite name o not : 016-7159043

unfortunately, there is nothing u can do.
u should check *everything* before you pay, not after u go home and realize this or that, too late ady. this is the golden rule.
just treat this as a lesson in life.

How much you bought from the seller? As a buyer, you should check the phone's condition first before buying. There are several things you should do when COD. For example, turn on and off the phone, try the bluetooth, wifi (any place provided free wifi) make calls, receive the calls, check the phone keypads, battery, try the camera, turn on music player listen to the audio.. See if got faulty or not.
For tracing the phone number, you can try to file a report and go to the company of the operator see if they will help you to trace the number. But i think you may not be able to find the person who conned you..the number if using could be belong to other person.. Good luck to you.

u can make police report but police cant do anything either.
register prepaid with telco can use fake photocopy ic with fake info.
even if they register using their real ic and telco gives u the info, what can u do? if u got very powerful underground frens then ok may be they can help u, this is small case not even worth asking taiko for help.

Bought a Nokla and not a Nokia... Sigh... A lesson learned...

no 3G as well,not 5MP camera eventho its same like ori Nokia (carl zeiss 5MP)

i think even u report to police its wasted.. U pay n u got the phone.. The problem is u not checking properly b4 u pay..

Like me, if i want to buy a pda, i will bring my fren who xpert to check 4 me.. So the seller cannot kencing me...

the golden rule is not to check everything before you take it from the seller. it is to know well about the item you're buying. i guess you have a nokla for new year..

if u don't make the report u wont gwt wny chance to get ur money back..

basically,clone phones look exactly the same with the ori ones,u can't notice from outside.
should have check it out 1st during cod.
file a report 1st,then try to ask for telco to trace the number using ur report from police.
i suppose that will be better

AFAIK, all the China version Nokia phone has been taken out the Wi-Fi & 3G function due to some rules & regulations there.

for me i can identify a china phone and an original phone quickly the different so huge different.
