not really. it is NOT just about the 3G and GPS. making a statement like that is just plain naive.

i'm currently a maxis subscriber and i can tell you the number of "failed calls" that i got on my first generation iphone, nearly caused me to smash the unit straight to the wall; it is so blinking annoying.

ever since porting over to an officially unlocking 3G unit, i never had anymore problems like that. i would rather pay more for an (officially unlocked) 3G version for two very obvious reasons; there is no such thing as an officially unlocked version for the first generation and no more playing hide and seek with the firmware release.

hold ur horses man.... throwing things doesnt make it go away.. hohohohoho...

ok back to the topic....

i do agree with mr nokia2003 about the hide and seek thingie.... i mean everytime the new FW comes out the iphone 2g users have to depand to the dev team to alter and unlock the iphone 2g....
but as long as ure happy with it like tht... then by all means... go ahead....
but for person like me, i hate waiting if i can do something about it....

my opinion only!
