On xbox.com my error is 'An error has occured during transaction. Please try again later.' and while on x360 its 'Cannot retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Pleas try again later. if your problem still didnt solve yet in 3 weeks time, i might be able to help you calling xbox support here in NZ. at the moment i got no landline yet so cant call. well should be move into a new permanent place before end of jan and after that definitely getting a new landline.
