Maybe it has something to do with your resolution setting or something. Try checking your manuals.

it sounds like the tv doesn't support the resolution you've requested

Choose the appropriate resolution from your pc based on your tv manuals. If none of them doesn't work, can't help you there.

As far as i know, playing console games using PC monitor requires VGA box / TV box or something like that.

xbox360 has vga cable, can be use with CRT/LCD monitor, which is separately sold. or if you have lcd monitor with hdcp, you can always use hdmi to dvi cable, which is applicable to be used with ps3 and 360.

my HDTV supports HDCP where i can play my ps3 with no display problems. What may be the problem has any 1 encountered this b4 as i know using component the resolution displayed from the screen is upscaled from a 540p,so in other words the graphic quality is nt as good as VGA.

What makes you think component is up scaled from 540p?
I have tested both VGA and component on my HDTV, they both looks pretty the same, but I prefer component because it offers more options to tune the color on my TV.

Have you done some basic troubleshooting?:
1. Try connecting you PC to you new HDTV with VGA cable, if no display most likely your TV's VGA port is faulty

2. Try connecting your Xbox to your PC monitor, if no display most likely the VGA cable is faulty

3. If you can get display with your PC monitor, change the display settings in Xbox to 1360x768 then plug in your Xbox to your new HDTV

Have you tried your VGA cable on a monitor first ?

but setting the resolution of 1368 x 786

and try it on your 32" LCD TV.

umm.. where got 540p signal??

you need to check whether your tv support 720p, 1080i, and 1080p
then set your 360 display on;y to the one that your tv support.

err... I have used the vga cable on my 32" sharp LCD too. But, it only support 640 x 480 to 1024 x 768. I get blank screen with a message "video signals are out of sync" if I put it to 1280 x 720.
Try configure lower res on crt monitor 1st, then plug it on the LCD TV. I m sure all LCD TV which has a VGA input can support standard 640 x 480 mode. Then configure higher res on LCD TV to find out which is the highest res that your TV can support.

Hi bro, some question, wana ask regarding HDMI connection, if i connect my XBOX360 using HDMI cable, how about the audio portion? the default cable (the one in the picture above) cant be used anymore due to the space constraint at the back of console. and i want to connect to my amplifier, dont want to use the cheapo LCD speaker.
if connect HDMI cant use the default cable to connect audio, please help me. thanks.

Hi Bro, I think you need to use this thing: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-de-49-en-70-2apg.html

I also heard some forumers said need to do some cutting at the port if you still want to use the original AV cable with HDMI.
