Hi im kinda new here and ive posted this here instead of the ps3 forum as perhaps ppl who have problems with XboX LIVE or Wii's online also may have experienced this before and could help .. anyways ive been trying to get my Ps3 network to NAT 2 instead of NAT 3 through portforwarding but it doesnt seem to work .. i posted this here as ive tried measures from portforward.com and even asked their forums to no avail.. and since malaysian gamers are more common here .. in any case im using the standard junkie streamyx DB102 modem/router could someone who has dealt with this problem before help me ? I heard DMZ-ing could solve this but i have no idea how to set it up.. any help would be greatly appreciated ... Thanks =)

your PS3 receive DNS error? you use Wifi rite?

If yes, no need to DMZ your modem yet..that for manual setting, try set your PS3 on easy custom first..

Im using wired connection sry for not stating that no DNS error i can connect to the internet just cant play online... and yes ive tried manual and easy settings while the static ip was already set to port forward..

okay then, please test your connection first, oh before that enable your ps3 connection

Nvm just found out my modem has restrictions and doesnt even have DMZ function... gonna get rid of this piece of junk ... damn tmnet

Moving to Playstation section.

what's DMZ function?
do we really need it to play online through wired connection?

db102 modem/router new stock modem from tmnet. can play ps3 on9 games just fine.no need to port forward.i just use it own setting only when using it at my brother house.
