Thinking of getting a set of headphones to replace my 2.1 speakers, since i don't use them much. please advice if 2.1 setup is better or a 2.0+headphones is better.
if i do get headphones:
- currently have - intergrated Asus SupremeFX soundcard
- what type of usage - movies, gaming, music
- source - mp3
- type of music listen to - jazz, pop, rock
- personal requirements - have nice bass, as i like to listen bass lines in songs. budget is <RM100.

btw, is the mini heaphone amp sold in the garage sales bulk good?

Hello guys, am interested in bijou since everyone was talking about it.
I'm quite confused with the levels, blues, soul, and acoustic vocals filled up most of my genre. So which bijou level should i take?

also what "burn-in" really does? it is said to optimize the performance of the earphones? thanks in advance.

From Wikipedia:

What is 'burn in'?

When speaking of headphones, 'burn in' is the term used for the settling oft he design parameters of the diaphragms into their intended state. The physical process is that the diaphragms loosen up through use and eventually reach a point that could be considered final. A similar situation is breaking in a new pair of shoes.

levels 1-4 indicates the bass.... 1 is the most bassiest and 4 less bass, usually for me i luv the no 3 which is balance bass...
vocal should be on level 4.. which is less bass... so it optimize the vocals better....

no such thing as circumaural or supraaural IEMs... IEMs (In Ear Monitors) are the ones u put inside ur ear... aka ear dildos.

so which one u want??? IEM or HEADphone?

Hi guys, i'm pretty new to these audiophile thingy, so i'm looking for an IEM for my ipod and also headphone monitors for mixing/producing OR a two in one IEM

my budget is below rm200
currently looking at xroads bijou but do you think i can mix with those? lol
also, between ath ck32, sennheiser cx300 and xroads bijou which would be most ideal for listening?
I don't really need a lot of bass pumping since i listen to alot of jazz and neo-classical stuff currently, only once in a while some hip hop and rock(not metal) but thats about the extend of it.

for my ipod i'm using the default headphones that come with it but it really sucks and its not isolating.

for mixing, i'm currently using sennheiser HD202 but its not comfortable enough for my ears, after putting them on for an hour or so, my ears start to hurt(not from loud volume)

is hd202 suitable for mixing/home-recording? or should i consider to sell it off and get a ATH M30?

budget for each (IEM and headphones) below rm200 but i don't mind to pay more if there is an IEM that can use for listening as well as mixing(2 in 1) =D

Regarding the amp, especially the Fiio headphone amp, most of them find it helpful. You can read more at the forum there.
