Just got myself a pair of Serengeti Brera series. I was trying to decide which one I should go for between Rayban and Serengeti but I end up choosing Serengeti. No regrets.

Already owned a Serengeti Destare 555nm (Trivex/Phd lens) for almost 5 years, and now tukar angin to San Remo Drivers (thin glass lens) even though this is an old model, but i'm more comfortable with it.
(after considering the frame type, nose bridge and my face shape)

My finding after owned both lenses:

555nm Trivex lens:
Suitable for outdoor activities, overcast and bright day light.
You wont notice when the lens darken, but suddenly everything you see slightly contrast in colour.

Drivers thin glass lens:
As the above condition but more toward for driving purpose.
This lens give you a high contrast in colour. I highly recommanded for those who are a 'pemandu tegar harian'.

As i mentioned in this thread back in 2012, wore it indoor wont give you a problem coz both type of lenses have VLT range from 24%-9% respectively.

Exposed to UV flashlight.



See the dark spot marking on lens? That how it works.

Guys, for someone who wears prescription glasses and tired of changing from normal glasses to sunglasses both with power, can u recommend me a frame design that suit to use with photochromatic lens? The lens that change darker in bright places vice versa. Its the right term right? Photochromatic.

same fade with urs, my Mframe, frogskin, monster dog, romeo, all lens DIED .... i ain't going to replace it

i means that glass quality .... what the point keep paying few hundred every 1-2 year ......
