Are you running on Maxis?

Hello...I just got my SE C902 today black midland 2nd hand fullset + 1gb M2 RM550...please add me to the "LYN Sony Ericsson C902 Official User List". Thanks JasonSky ^^

Just wondering...is it all SE C902...when having a call with others, the sound from other ppl is kinda soft de? Or is there a way to set it louder?

And how do I update firmware etc?

my c902 has many problem... actually it is ap set. can i update the firmware n how to update?

Welcome! I just added you on to the userlist!

During a call, try increase the volume button on the right side of your phone to increase sound volume.

Since yours is a Midland set, just install PC Suite software (it should be bundle in your box). Once its installed, it should ask you to update the software version. Once everything is up to date (Should be version 4.0) and completed look out for "Update Service" shortcut on your desktop or in PC Suite click on Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS).

Follow the on-screen instructions to update your firmware. The newer version is much more user friendly. Oh and also don't forget to backup your SMS and contacts as a firmware update wipes everything of your phone.

For AP set some are able to update and some are not able to. Try out the steps I mentioned above and see if you are lucky.

If you are not able to then you might have to reflash your phone to a different firmware to get the updates. Sorry I can't help you much on this as I myself am not familiar with firmware flashing. Maybe someone else is able to help.

yup maxis... the sound like pecah ... very annoying.... n disconnected if i'm in medium signal area... anything do with the provider ???

Err...I installed the PC Suite Software already...then I plug the cable to the PC usb port and to my phone...then checking connectivity...but...the program said "no device found". So I wondering is it the program problem or I duno use it ar? My installation cd is red colour top de...write K610 de...is it the seller give me wrong cd?

But very funny de...If i transfer songs or photo using my computer de...there got detect my phone and memory card...can transfer data in and out from there...but just those pc suite program and other program inside the installation cd not working de...why har?

Or more advisible to bring back to Authorise SE Service Center to check? since still under Midland warranty de @@

I too am running on Maxis and my coverage signal also very bad... fluctuates alot and also disconnects in medium signal areas. However I never had this problem with my old w810i. Also people in my office doesn't have this problem... dunno its a clash between c902 and maxis

Glad you are able to the PC Suite up and running!

As for themes what kind are you planning to install? Flash Themes or normal ones?

For flash themes you need to use a a2uploader to upload it into your phone but if just normal ones then just copy and paste

i just change provider to maxis i think for 2 months already..
nvr have the disconnection problem..
signal strength for me is quite ok..never been very low b4

is it because u updated to the new firmware?
i havent update to the latest firmware

Should not be as I already faced this problem even before I update my firmware.

But I'm guessing it could be a hardware problem with the phone. However so far it only happened once after I updated, will analyze and see if it happens again.

i am planning to buy C902 next mth july AP mode. Just curious, C902 possible to install dictionary? English to chinese?

I am quite fascinating with this mode because of its outlook, can be saying i am big supporter of SE.

Regard on firmware, wat is it for? i red through the pages, realize it seems like upgrading to minimize auto boot and lagging?

When dictionary you mean like auto translation? or writing in Chinese?

Also firmware update is like receiving new Ms Windows Updates - its supposedly released to fix any bugs or software related issues on the phone

Anyways if you are not facing any problems with your current c902 then don't bother upgrading

my translation means typing English word can translate to chinese word like those normal bulky dictionary book. possible?
