i swear everyday honda comes up with the weirdest and funniest names for colors. my accord they call it gunmetal silver. for whatttttttt. silver is silver grey is grey laaaaaa.

They call it like that because the colours are different.
Like my Polished Metal Metallic. It's different from grey because it has multi-tone effect. So in this case, you can't call it grey.

coz silver alone is too general. For instance, the Accord's Champagne Gold Metallic and City's Bold Beige Mettalic both are the same "Beige" category but both is quite different. BBM is darker compared to CGM.

All these is to make the life of paint suppliers easier also. Imagine lah if BBM and CGM both renamed back to "Beige" and someone wanna respray the bumper to CGM but instead terspray to BBM how. Waste resources edi lo.
