*

erm...cut the tubes into 2?? hehe..have yet to try it..i got a broken CCFL in my drawer...any1 wanna try it?? brows.gif

ps: i would not be held responsible if damage is done... laugh.gif

Oh... I let it ON constant now but I didnt let my rig run 24 hours smile.gif *kids at home, u dunno when they'll surprise u by anything sweat.gif*...

Then there's any chance to get the inverter only or need to buy a whole set? unsure.gif

Also as mentioned by kianwee, where to get the shorter version of CCFL UV like yours or perhaps there's other model as well? smile.gif
*
you can get the inverter from uglyvamp..he is selling it...pm him if you need it more in detail... brows.gif

@kianwee
planning to put CF sticker on your casing?? cause looks kinda plain in the front...your casing is much more well maintain than mine...jealous....: vmad.gif

I did put some CF film earlier in the year, but I took it out now, cause I love to touch the aluminium because it is freaking cold in aircond room.  laugh.gif

About the maintenance, I wash the filter once a week, and try not to touch the side arcylic, it get scratched very easily. I use a lint-free cloth to lightly clean it if there is fingerprints. Never wash the acrylic with water, or wipe it with newpaper, i've learnt my lesson.  cry.gif
The tsunami is really hard to maintain compared to shark. Shark doesn't have the mirror finish that is a fingerprint magnet.
*
lolz...same here...but my casing has been to the repair shop once...and when it came back, i lost 1 of those green color stuff to secure the pci slots...and not only that, my casing's side paint also came off...sheesh...not a lot..but a lil..that is why i plan to put carbon fibre stuff all over it...

but i heard that using PlastX can remove scratches from the side panel...why not haf a go at it? available at Eonos at 1U or Ace hardware at Mid Valley...priced at RM35 each..have yet to get it due to short of funding...sigh

huh.gif Cut the CCFL tube into 2? Can do so? *first time heard shocking.gif*

Oh... thankx for da detail... neway, uglyvamp got sell that fan with uv light, wondering if it'll light up even better? laugh.gif

Haha... war between sidewinderz and kianwee biggrin.gif

hehe....no war la...just jealous of his beautiful hardcore rig...hehe...your rig also not bad wat....not so messy like mine...cry.gif

I will keep in mind about the PlastX, I've been looking for that for quite some time now.  thumbup.gif

take it slow and easy....sooner or later, you'll surely finish it...that time, i'm sure it will be nicer than both mine and kianwee's 1...all the best!! notworthy.gif

I just got my Tsunami Dream casing today. Transfered all my hardware from my old casing into this new one. Got it running but my cables are all messy and crap.

Just realized that throughout most of the pict posted in this thread, I havent even seen one power cable. It always impresses me how you guys manage to hide your cable so well. Any tip?

Fyi, I'm using AMD64 3500+ with Abit AV8 mobo, 3 HDD, 1 DVDROM, 1 DVDRW and of course, 1 FDD.
*
lolz...you can also hide it at any of the empty cd-rom bays...hehe

thread is getting active again...nice nice...thumbup.gif

it seems its much like a CM fan contest , must have enough cm product then only can enter hahahaa.... sweat.gif

plus since my psu dead liao , i also no mood to mod it liao, haiz hopefully can get it back soon. unsure.gif

well kianwee's right, he is an expert at hiding cables in his case, damn keng,
tsunami dream got plenty of room to hid, just need to be creative, maybe create metal frame to cover the cables. or use extension to extent ta cable behind the mobo tray, this way its super clean and good air flw for ya case~ thumbup.gif

hmm...wow..never know bout this...anyway, wanna know how do they judge all this?? i mean like beauty is kinda subjective right?

thanx for the tips...

by the way, i've read somewhere in this thread that you can cut CCFL so you'll get a shorter one. is that true? and can use the remaining cut (with decent re-wiring) of the CCFL?

sheesh...bad Tt Shark.  can't fit it a 30cm across the casing..
*
what do you mean cut the CCFL...issit the wiring of the cable itself...there is a shorter tube...its 15cm in diameter... smile.gif can get it at robyncom...laugh.gif

your casing super messy leh...and plus the CCFL...makes it looks rather bad...but if you go UV, i think it would look better...dun think of switching on the CCFL if you have not tidy up the cables...brows.gif

ah..sidewinderz. TQ  sweat.gif

i've been waiting for your comments/suggestion actually. i really like your Rig setup. kinda inspires me you know. i admitted that it is super messy and totally agree that adding CCFL only make it look worse. so, any suggestion/tips on how should i tidy up those cables.

actually, i always had the 'super messy' problem. never figure out how to make it tidier..  doh.gif i was thinking to get replace the IDE with round cables...the first step of tidying it up.
*
oh...my comments?? wow..never know people actually like my setup...laugh.gif
well...how do i start??
hmmm....well for a start, you can try rewire the cable behind the mobo tray...and if possible, try hide your cables at the 5.25" bays and at the side of the hdd tray area there...
if the cables are too short, you can actually use a power drill and drill a hole at the top of the mobo tray section...and make your wire come out from there...it will hide most of the cables at the mobo tray (but if you do wrongly, bye bye... brows.gif)
another tip for hiding cables is to get those extension cables..it really helps..cause by making your cable longer, hiding can become a whole lot easier...
its good that you go with black sleeving....great choice there.... thumbup.gif
but try getting all those wire cables and tie the loose cables together...that will definitely make them look tidy although they are not properly hidden...laugh.gif
for the CCFL switch, you can try reposition it...cause mine is placed at the front (5.25" area)...it helps hide most of the CCFL switch cables...thumbup.gif i'll post the pic later...brows.gif
for the IDE cables, try going for the rounded IDE cables..it makes the whole thing looks much cooler...dun get the long cables, short 1 will do...cause your casing aint that big..hehe
actually, your CCFL placement can be easily seen already...try to hide the tubes....a good way is to stick it at the side panel area...there you will get the same brightness but the tubes wont be seen..hehe:thumbs:

think that is bout it...dunno if you find it any useful or not.. laugh.gif

ps: think i'm crapping all these while..laugh.gif

yeah, i tried that..i guess i had to take out the bottom HDD slot to put the inverter in (thanx for the advice to all of you). I am still thinking about the Molex connectors placing. it's quite complicated and I think i am gonna out tomorrow and get some round cables to replace the IDEs.

I'm gonna post new pics when i got it done later...

come to think of it...it is really dumb of me to buy a white CCFL...it kills my blue LED fans. i was thinking of converting to UV (after cable management) and put the white ones below the casing so it will look like neon mod for cars..i dunno how it will though.
*
not a bad idea, but you're gonna haf a tough time sleeping...laugh.gif
long cables are always good..hehe..remember that. thumbup.gif

shining steel..brand new? i can still smell the shop scent? hehe..

comments? i am still noob here...but this is my finding though. like sidewinderz says, you can hide the cables on the 'casing floor'..it'll look better. err..shorter round cable would fit nicely...too bad, i don't know where to find one..lucky hit i got one from All it City - but one unit left. dull color too.

my top space is so messy since i tried to hide all those unused molexes, cables in there. as a result, messy like hell. anyway, it'll be nice if you sleeve the PSU cables. i think it'll be tidier.

wat can i say, major improvement...but you can still do better... biggrin.gif
unlike you guys, i got plenty of stuff in my comp...sigh..cable management also gets tougher with every single hardware i put in my rig... cry.gif

comments? well, the IDE cable that is used to plug to your cd-rom drives...try hiding it at the side of the mobo area...the 1 toward the right hand side of the pic...and the cable for the processor fan, work can be done on that....i'll post my casing soon biggrin.gif exams coming up...busy..sad.gif

whoa..there's so much cable inside...it'll be wonderful if you can picture the casing under UV effect! so many cables running here and there, and there's more on the 5.25" bay. hehe..nice one sidewinderz... thumbup.gif i am still a noob, i can't judge very well but it is nice one. and the space on the right panel is cleverly used to hide those excessive cables.

but about the swtiches, did you screw them on the panel or just let it hang there? if you can, i really would like to see your closer shots of the swtiches, that one is quite blur. i am thinking, would it look better if you make a hole on the 5.25" unused panel and screw them on it?

no update yet on my rig, just a little extra cable management..i'll post them later tonigh..currently downloading anime  sweat.gif
*
i know the cable is messy up there..hehe..was trying to find my molex connector to fit my 140CFM fan ma..hehe...but now its ok already...back to original..nice and clean biggrin.gif

problem with too much peripherals is that the wires get so jumbled up...sometimes i dun even know wat i am looking for...laugh.gif
