hmm...if you're into UV, i suggest getting thermaltake UFO fans...if not, Vantec 92mm fans work quite well...but if you want absolute silent...the CM UV fans does the job pretty well..but dun expect the temps to stay low... smile.gif

Hello all, long time didn't play here..

I wanna redo my cable management again after my exam..
for the past few month, I never clean my casing  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

do u think that TT tsunami window side panel is too big? difficult for me to hide the mess.. I mean the plastic side, I saw the coolermaster side panel is much more neat than this.. only rounded with glass look (or issit really glass?) i saw it simple & clean.
*
yea..i find the side panel a lil too big...having tough time tidying up cables as well...but this is the best i can go la...tongue.gif

try using less fans and stuff...perhaps it might help... biggrin.gif

hehe...sleeving cables really make your casing a whole lot cooler and nicer...if possible go for black sleeving if you're not going UV...dun get Vantec sleeve kits cause they are not as good as those hardware shops 1....

Finally, got chance to goto Low Yat next week *coz holidays tongue.gif*

Wanna get myself a Vantec UV 92cm to change my TT Tsunami's side blower fan wink.gif
*
wow....why not settle for a Tt UFO? like me...its really good.. smile.gif vantec doesn't provide high CFM and its speed cannot be adjusted...where you plan to get the vantec fan?

Someone in this forum mentioned Vantec UV 92cm can fit that side blower, that's why I'm looking for it... any other option? TT UFO? *frankly, didnt heard of this before sweat.gif* How it look like and the cost btw? unsure.gif

Hm... since I'll be visiting Low Yat... perhaps gonna check the Vertex Distributor at 4th floor... it been a while since I last stepped into that place tongue.gif
*
hmm...it can fit the side blower...but when the fan spins at 2800 rpm it can be a lil noisy...thermaltake UFO fans...never heard of it before?? smile.gif its the green fans i'm using as my processor fan and side blower... tongue.gif

haha...vertex is pretty expensive...bought my UV SATA cable from them..RM18 blink.gif sigh...kinda regret it....think robyncom should sell them...haha...if you can wait, end of the year pc fair sure got sell 1...and it'll be darn cheap...trust me.. smile.gif

Well, I'm not really that familiar in these kind of thingy.. after all, I just started to fancy up my casing this year tongue.gif *even da case also I bought this year laugh.gif*. Oh.. that one is TT UFO.. hmm.. will check it out when I visit there wink.gif. But how's this when compared to Vantec UV? Only spin more faster? unsure.gif

I didnt visit Vertex before at LYP but I bought my 12cm UV Vantec from them in previous PC Fair. The price kinda cheap thou *forgot how much I bought sweat.gif*.. that's why I bought from them wink.gif. Everytime when I passby Robyncom also, sure packed like hell and they're busy shakehead.gif.. I think better look forward for upcoming PC Fair as u suggested nod.gif
*
haha.....the fan is actaully a smart fan....designed for heatsink mounting actually...produces up to 80CFM with speeds of 3500rpm...but you can control the speed la..as a fan controller is provided...price is pretty expensive..around RM50-60 if i'm not mistaken...

in terms of performance...thumbup.gif haha...but instead of the air being sucked in like the original Tt configuration, now the air will be sucked out...smile.gif which is kinda good as all intake will be done in the front...allowing "cleaner" air...(cause of the air filter ) brows.gif

this coming pc fair i'll also grab something...haha...but somehow, this casing cant seem to mod much lor...thought of mounting a radiator in the case..but cant think of a proper location...sigh...guess i cant go WC already... sad.gif

ps: bro, are you maried? just curious... blush.gif

Oh, so the fan comes with a fan controller to be attached at the pci slot? unsure.gif But then why u changed the direction to be outtake? I suppose the original design was intake and also all the air will be sucked at the rear 12cm outtake? But then I get what u mean by da 'air filter'... however, opting to put an air filter at the side blower and then remain it to be 'intake', would it be better? wink.gif

Talking about hsf for processor, I was thinking of changing my stock hsf to Thermalright XP90C.. but then better save up money to migrate platform better tongue.gif. The current rig is enough for me as I spend less time gaming already. Top hunting in my shopping list now is a larger LCD and a set of speakers. Wanna throw away my crappy AL AHS502 sweat.gif shakehead.gif doh.gif

Me? I'm still single.. what make u think I'm married? tongue.gif
*
haha...good idea there... wink.gif air filter at the side blower...haha...yea...it can be fitted at the PCI slot...but about the changing of direction for my side intake fan, i dun think its possible...cause it can only be fitted in 1 direction...sigh... sad.gif unless i can find longer screws...gotta pay a visit to the hardware store 1 day...laugh.gif

a pic to let you know wat i meant...

user posted image

somehow i haf no idea why thermaltake wants a 92mm side intake fan...its so hard to find this type of fan...sheesh...always trying to be diffirent....that is the thing i like and hate about thermaltake... mad.gif

XP-90c? good hsf, but if you're not into OC...the stock cooler is good enough..thumbup.gif but the heatsink do make your case look a lil more cooler...haha..friends will go like"ahhhhh" when they see your side panel...biggrin.gif overall i think XP-90c is a good investment as you can fit it on socket 939 if you wanna change platform later in the future...brows.gif

how often you clean the filter? mine gets dusty really easily...even the inside of my casing...starting to get dusty after my initial installation...that is like 8 months ago...i wonder if the filter is doing its job properly..and whether its wise to sacrifice airflow for a much "cleaner" air... sweat.gif

wat platform you planning to change?AMD again?hehe....wait for M3 to come out la...haha...that time i think it'll be running on DDR2...thumbup.gif

ps: remember you said last time that you haf kids and stuff...wonder if i get it mixed up or something...

Ah... I forgot bout tat TT UFO design when I looked at ur rig's photo sweat.gif... Hm... longer screws would really solve the problem of changing direction with its "a bit hemisphere" design? shakehead.gif. Regarding the fan controller, where did ya placed it? Inside the casing as no adjustment needed? tongue.gif *if like tat, no need to attach also, rite? laugh.gif*

I think I'll just stick with 92cm Vantec UV ler... as my full load temp only at 50C *all stock setting*

Regarding the hsf, most probably not now as I got more expensive stuff to buy at the top of my shopping list. Limited fund lagi sweat.gif

I'm lazy, so u can imagine my rig tongue.gif. I only clean once a while when I got changes to be made to the hardwares laugh.gif.. else, depend on mood doh.gif.. As I said my current rig is enough for me.. what platform? Depend on when I managed the 'fund' for it lor... decide by tat time laugh.gif (most probably leap to dual-cores brows.gif)

Oh... it's my uncle's kids mean my cousin. I put my com at the hall.. so when they be 'cute' when I'm doing anything.. could end up messing a lot doh.gif
*
alright...makes my hand itchy again...feel like changing fans...but i got a hell lot of fans in my house...even with my current casing, there are 10 fans in it to provide good airflow... rolleyes.gif think i gotta stop this obsession of mine soon...or else there would be nothing left of me when my parents finds out bout my fan fetish...: laugh.gif

oh....haha...sorry..my bad...but thank god my nephew's and niece's are quite under control....besides my rig is placed way out of their reach...even if they wanna mess with my rig, they cant....brows.gif why dun you OC your rig? since you haf such a good mobo there? i'm sure the extra speed you get will definitely help you improve on your everyday computing experience...startup times can also be boosted...

mind posting your workstation setup? wanna haf a look at it.. laugh.gif you sure haf lotsa yummy gadgets attached to your beast... whistling.gif

Hm... talking bout OC, I haven't spend time exploring on it yet sweat.gif *I'm n00b bout OCing*. Haven't figure out where to start thou, perhaps need to read some beginner guide tongue.gif. Yeah... been thinking of OCing my proc and also my ram.. since they said this Hynix D43 ram is a king in value ram OCing thumbup.gif

Well... if not mistaken, I did posted my workstation in here before... just if ya couldn't recall, here it's wink.gif

haha....lets see....i have 2x120mm fans (intake and exhaust), 2x92mm fans (processor and side intake), Vantec spectrum fancard (contains 2 fans), GC HSF (contains 1 fan), 80mm fan (for increased airflow), and PSU (got 2 fans)...you can imagine the sound la... tongue.gif (but most of the time its set to super low speed)

nice setup you got there.. tongue.gif i really like your mouse..been thinking of getting 1 but i dun think i can change unless my current 1 is spoilt...sad.gif but i was wondreing if all this gaming mouse actually does some help...i know it looks cool and all but do they really perform?

you really need to OC your rig la...with all this stuff you had, its a pity that you didn't OC it...i feel sorry for your rig la...it keeps saying like "unlock me, unlock me..." tongue.gif

Haha... for me, I only have

2x 12cm for front intake and rear outtake
1x 92cm for side intake
3x 8cm for processor and PSU

Well.. total up I got 6 fans inside.. er.. consider not bad leh tongue.gif.. the sound also at minimum *least wat I felt laugh.gif*

Hm... the first 'expensive' mouse I bought was Logitech Mouseman Dual-Optical, yeah.. it really got 2 optical sensor and the size real big tongue.gif. However, suitable for my big sized palm brows.gif.. 2 years later, I need to move my rig to my new place, so I left tat mouse with my sis since she liked it and then I bought this Logitech MX518 (3 months later Logitech G5 released shakehead.gif). Anyway, the first thing I felt when I connected this mouse to my rig was.. "Oh my god, it's damm light and smooth" thumbup.gif. My aunt who saw tat mouse said, "Wah.. sport car looks" laugh.gif

Perhaps I really start to learn how to OC my 'wife' already blush.gif.. any guide and tips from u? wink.gif
*
haha...tempted to get it la...haha..maybe this coming pc fair.. tongue.gif better get my shopping list ready ..haha..wanna know more bout OC? just come over to MSN and we'll chat.. haha

airflow performance is similar to my tsunami dream...but except that its make out of steel in stead of Aluminium...great casing if you're on a budget...and thermaltake's build quality is excellent.. thumbup.gif hope to see you in that casing.. smile.gif post it here when you purchase it..haha
