QUOTE(pokok86 @ Oct 2 2007, 10:06 AM) i got see someone say like this "I own a Tsunami Dream. I advise against buying this casing, as the internal is really out of date. You should try Lian Li". It's realy? I really own the case and that's just my humble opinion. Of course there are people who disagree with it. Just giving my 2 cents. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/432628/+920 |

QUOTE(syahirax @ Oct 1 2008, 11:49 PM) TT casings are usually filmsy compared to Lian Li casings. TT uses 0.8-1mm alu without anodizing while lian li uses 0.8-2mm alu with anodizing, depending on the model. Alu with anodizing are much stronger then alu without it. |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Jan 31 2009, 01:36 PM) Not a lot of people have thermaltake, also not a lot of people selling it also. Also its more ah beng looks will appeal to less people. Coolermaster looks more conservative than this. There is also a small age group where people like Tt, then after that they migrate on. Usually cost to make a new Tt system is very expansive Actually, TT's aluminum cases suffer from poor build quality. The metal used is too thin for comfort. Damn regret buying my Tsunami Dream last time. Lian li, or even cooler master, are of better choices. |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Feb 13 2009, 10:52 PM) You pay for that bling and easeness. Alu thin still cannot bend it easily. Also 6.5kg already light. Most of its weight is distributed in the front extruded aluminum panel. The body is very thin, too thin for comfort. The casing tends to tilt forward when's it's empty, as the front alu panel is much heavier. Also, RM450 (now RM465-480) is actually a hefty price to pay for such build quality. On the other hand, lian li and silverstone will be a better buy. |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Feb 14 2009, 11:22 AM) Can name the products and prices from both companies which look like the Tsunami Dream? Maybe TT has ease of use compared to the other products? Does it come which comes with case intrusion detection? I use that case intrusion detection which connects to my motherboard and an alarm will sound if I open the side panel while the pc is running. Thermaltake's design is more ah beng, where as Lian Li and Silverstone have more clean and masculine. Yes, the case is heavy at the front, but I have never seen it tilt forwards even when its empty with or without the stands in place. Take example of Lian Li's PC-A6010. It cost about RM490 (RM5 more than Tsunami Dream), but it comes with fan controller, removable mobo tray, and best of all, anodized aluminum, with solid build. ![]() I once owned a silver Tsunami Dream, and the paint job is very bad. Besides, the acrylic window is not really acrylic, but some cheap plastic which is hazy looking. Also, it has poor airflow, thanks to its limited front intake grill. For my unit, it did tilt forward when's it was empty. Why do you think silverstone and lian li are enthusiast's choice? Just my 2 cents, no offense. Actually, i love the design of Tsunami Dream and TT Armor. But the build quality for TT's aluminum casings are seriously bad, not worth the price at all.
