oh.. haha. well learning abt them smile.gif thanks bros~

hi boringz,

in forex got 3 main thing u need to know when related with analysis....TA, FA and SA..

TA
= technical analysis which is u r using indicators to analyze d market base in d chart u see (candlestick also part of TA which u can learn from here www.candlesticker.com)

FA
= fundamental is an analysis base on current economic condition n news release which can be refer here www.forexfactory.com (news calendar)

SA = speculation analysis which is normally u need to go for further study above news

and in analysis also u need to know 2 more thing which is LONG TERM and SHORT TERM analysis..

Long term is for swinger..which will make u get more than 100pips for one open position by holding in for more than 1~2 days or maybe month...

and Short term is more for scalper which only target for 3~10pips for every post they enter..

hope this help blush.gif

hey thanks bro! though most traders rely just on TA? or there's a balance of them. Never seen "SA" before. hehe.
*
almost 90% trader who trade normal market condition is base on TA...and FA is need when it comes to news release...dats is if u wanna trade d news..but for beginner..it is not recommended since market is unpredictable during news..it can go up or down instantly...dats y u still need to know about FA bcoz it can destroy ur TA easily..

hope this help blush.gif

p/s: AU make a gr8t movement just now...almost 100pips in 1hour...cool!

biggrin.gif that's written theoretical guide book. In practical, you need FA whether it's news release or not, and FA is not just used for trading news. FA is used to understand the market, hence to understand its reaction and how it'll react to everything that's happening, a.k.a. news, whether it's short term or long term. IMO, in FA, you dont just look at economic prints, you have to understand how that figure would cause a response to the market.

my little opinion smile.gif
*
by posting like dat, i assume u already reached advance level in market analysis...looking forward to meet u for ideas xchange blush.gif

*
FA maybe just small word but d meaning is very big...not just news...u need to dig more about fundamental n whats it mean..

btw, bloomberg is my favourite for news.. smile.gif

i'm playing with fxcm free account. $50,000 now $50,005.97 rclxms.gif USD/JPN up up up
i'm in stage 1. blush.gif

just to confirm-> the $50,000 is in usd? which mean RM50k*3.625 ??

and 1 more question-> when I buy,it let me choose 10k,20k,30k blabla... what if I only have $100?
*
each broker have different contract size and leverage that they offer...if starting capital is below 500usd...leverage 1:500 is d most suitable n u can start trade with AUDUSD since its margin requirement is low.

btw, i'm also stage 1 blush.gif

Scalping is for experts. Please do not try this at home.
*
Experts is not a scalper..

in FOREX....2 type of most popular trading style is Scalp and Swing...

Scalping = higher risk to loss (gain small pips - 1~5 in 1 position in very short period..will gain more if enter more positions)
Swing = less risk to loss (gain lots of pips in 1 position but hold for a certain period..no need to enter so many positions)

each time u open position in ur trading mean u r facing 1 risk...scalping is more popular among beginner..it is more like gambling..bcoz no need proper analysis to enter d market...but when they reach higher level of knowledge in FOREX...trader will start to bcome swinger...which need them to analyze d market very carefully before open an position.

of course overall...FOREX itself is a very high risk business... blush.gif

just my 50cents. blush.gif

did NFA just made a new regulation stating that no hedging will be allowed in retail borkers?
like that means we cannot buy and sell the same pair at the same time?

not clear on this. i heard it elsewhere.
*
there is no solid reason y they not allow hedging in retail brokers...maybe it just rumors.. blush.gif

About NFA..

just want to highlight it here...i wrote same thing in some other forum..

NFA is not a main key to value a broker...it is just for broker which registered in USA...like here we in Malaysia, we have SSM and SC..n at US they have NFA..

so it mean if broker is not regulated by NFA..it doesnt mean that they r not ok n not regulated..it depend on which country where they registered...n they r regulated by the organization in that country..

if really true NFA wont allow hedging...it will only effect those broker which regulated by them only...n d amount is so little compare to broker which is regulated by other organization outside US.

just my 2pips blush.gif

IMO, sub forum is not necessary because LYN is not a FX dedicated forum.
If you start with a aud/usd mini thread, how about other pair like gu, eu, uj, etc?
it will be hard for mod to manage these sub-sub thread...
furthermore, the post count in this thread is rather low.
if u interested to know more about aud/usd, better look around in big FX forum like forexfactory, fxstreet, etc...  rolleyes.gif
*
some word from me as newbie in this forum...

I agree both of u n william7

yes LYN is not FX dedicated forum...but how bout stock exchange...i dont think LYN is dedicated forum for stock exchange too..

if we have sub-forum...i think we not only can made mini thread for AU...but for other pairs too..for example mini thread like 'Technical Analysis for GBPUSD 2009', 'Technical Analysis for EURUSD 2009', 'Technical Analysis for AUDUSD 2009', and etc. So member can discuss about specific pairs in specific thread..forum will look more proper, manageable n tidy.

All this action will make post count higher since it will attract more people to join...n it will also increase LYN total traffic...

y dont we make in LYN here like forexfactory, fxstreet n etc...instead we direct traffic to those website...it is better we increase this forum traffic itself..

just my humble opinion.. blush.gif
