As minimum as USD25 for micro account. But if you use oanda platform, you can trade as minimum as USD1 (minimum 1 unit for each pair). For beginner, it is good to use oanda platform. Spread low and 100% execution trade. No hassle of requote.
You also can use oanda for demo purpose. Try more platforms and you will differentiate which one suits you.

P/s: Wah, wah! So many ppls joining Forex d. Welcome to board and good luck to you all. I just got 1 message to all of you. Remember to control your risks management properly. Dun overtrade! cool2.gif

Added on April 6, 2009, 7:20 pmBtw, be careful on AJ. It reaching SMA10 (73.91) in monthly chart.
Dun long big lots at current rate unless you plan for scalping..
Maybe SMA10 serve big resistance since it is monthly chart.

Its depend on which fields that you are professional and comfortable at.
For example: If you have day job, then forex will be suitable for you as you can trade at nite session
while CI futures only can traded on day session

Oanda TS <-- does it stop working once u turn off your platform/if your platform disconnects? MT4 works like that right? what about oanda?
*
Yo, kelvin. Been long time doesn't post here ...
for MT4 platform eg: interbankFX. You need to open your MT4 in order for TS to execute successfully.
Else it won't trail your profits biggrin.gif
