Oh, like that ah?
Rock Band 2 is region locked, but Beatles Rock Band isn't?

I hate you, EA.

Silly question i know ... but would like to confirm.

Can we play RB and RB2 songs via RB: The Beatles? I'm guessing not, but just thought I'd give it a shot.

THanks in advance.

Beatles drums are great although the 'pearl' finish isn't that convincing.

Out of the box, compared to RB1 drums, the material used to coat the drum heads are a lot quieter. Drums feel a lot more responsive - they are definitely more sensitive. They are also much quieter than the RB1 drums. The kick pedal is now reinforced with a blue beatles metal plate. The kick pedal also doesn't require as much strength to push down.

One improvement that the TB:RB drums has is that there is a delay before the start button and the xbox guide button registers a press. So no more accidental mishits for noobs like myself who like to hit the start button.

They are unwired of course and use 3AA batteries (like the hofner bass guitar)

One minor complaint that i have is that they should have included a boom mic stand for some voxdrums action as I already have a standing mic stand.

Is it comparable to the RB2 drums?
Because if it is as good/better, I wouldn't mind importing just the drums, or even the whole set since I don't have BRB yet.

The guys at Gamers Hideout are convinced that it's slightly better than RB2 drum set. I can't give a personal opinion on that since i have not used the RB2 drums before. my gf is the drummer and she is really happy with the new drums.

One thing i didn't mention above is that i ended up adding the drum silencers (which i removed from my RB1 drum set) onto the beatles set because of the additional bounce.

They're not selling the beatles drums seperately though if it's only a slight improvement from the RB2 drum set, I'd say just get the RB2 drum set (or blow 5k). Game rox though.

Alternatively, logitech drums look like a good option. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/x...s/5748&cl=nz,en (even if they've messed the colours up for rock band (i think)

Sorry for a noob question.
What do you mean by the "blue beatles metal plate" ?...do you mean the blue protective film in the packaging or other else?

hehe...no worries...
Most probably it was a protective film to protect the metal because theres a small sticker stated to remove it before using it...

Well, I've been crapping out my RB1 drums with mods and stuff, and I think I've got the silencing and rebound down. Video to come if anyone cares.
Though, I may want to get like the new Metal Works mod as opposed to a new drum set icon_idea.gif
