pace usually refer to time u need to complete a km or mile.

8.3 should be refer 8.3mins/mile, which is equal to 5.2mins/km, = 11.54km.hr.
This is very fast for marathon distance!

i tot that's KM/h. or is it dependant on machine?

cos i usually run at 8.5km/h or so, could finish about 2km in 15 minutes.

Usually treadmill shows the speed, instead of pace. If speed, then the unit is km/hr or miles/hr.
Yeah, 8.5km/hr = 7.06 mins/km pace, so u need around 14.12mins for 2km.
