QUOTE(ereage.shawn @ Dec 19 2008, 10:39 AM) Ram not enough? Vista Ultimate x64 need 2GB RAM(min) More bullsh*t from you? I managed to install and use Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-Bit on 512MB RAM without Aero interface and Window DreamScene. Added on December 19, 2008, 9:45 pmQUOTE(ereage.shawn @ Dec 19 2008, 04:12 PM) maybe mainboard not support Dude, read his fu*king siggy properly. He's using a Dell XPS1530 and it's fully 64-Bit compatible. This post has been edited by TechnoDude94: Dec 19 2008, 09:45 PM

Some Non-Original Vista SP1 have a problem with it's crack. Instead of stopping the timer, it actually runs an emulated BIOS before boot to fool Vista that it's an OEM original system so the Copy will automatically be verified. However, that method has a problem. Not all system/motherboard is compatible with this crack. And thus, it'll just stuck there after POST. For some motherboard, the crack will rewrite (Flash the EEPROM) of some of your motherboard devices (Hardware ID) and make it non-compatible with even the original drivers. If you can't find a way to flash back the hardware, be ready for RMA or a new motherboard. Conclusion, Stick to Original. Or use XP/Linux

The crack is nothing more than a BOOTLOADER and it won't rewrite the EEPROM. I wonder where you get your fix...

Try searching for the tonnes of people with Realtek 8111B driver problems. Want proof? Here. Read the comments. http://vr-zone.com/comments/biostar-ta690g...eview/4726.htmlI can show you a screenshot too if you are too lazy to read through the pages. Now you're saying again that it's only a bootloader? There's a lot of "free programs" on the internet and cracks which also tells you they do nothing to your system, they are virus free and spyware free... Do you so blindly believe those too and install it?

Pick your source wisely and don't believe the hype. Problems happens to those who just go to the Internet, and saw some crack and say "Wow! I found a crack! I must download it because it says the crack is good!" and come back somewhere whining about it...

Hmm... XPS eh. Should not be an issue. Perhaps you need to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager (RAID drivers) at the 'Choose partition to installation' Vista install screen by selecting 'Load Drivers' at the bottom. Download the 64bit version here (copy to flash drive / CD / etc.) from Intel.com/support -> Chipset -> Intel Matrix Storage Manager -> Search for link to download 64bit Floppy version Copy files into flash drive / CD / etc.. At the Vista partition screen, click on 'Load Drivers' and browse to the folder of the files you downloaded. If compatible, you can select Install or Next and it will automatically install.

Some that rewrite the EEPROM, some that flash the BOOTLOADER.

Because I actually never seen one that rewrite the EEPROM All I've ever seen the one that replace Vista default bootloader with custom one...
