Hi. Can i ask you a question? I have also started running. Well, about less than a month. But one thing i notice is that my throat gets very very dry when i run. Dry like sandpaper. shocking.gif Is this natural? Is this due to me opening my mouth when i run? Should i then close my mouth and breath through my nose when i run then?

Hmmm.. Firstly, opening the mouth to breath is one reason. However, opening the mouth alone is NOT the MAIN cause. The main cause is coz you are pushing yourself too hard. When u push yourself too hard (when running) your breathing starts to become HEAVY, and u start gasping for air, thus drying ur throat faster.
Try to reduce the running speed or duration , and see what happens.

PS: lastly, dun worry as this is something quite common among runners at the beginning. If u search this topic on google, u will see many ppl also facing this.
Hope this helps. Thx.

PSS: Nope. dun run while breathing thru the nose. U dont get enough O2 into your system.
