QUOTE(IcedNyior @ Dec 27 2008, 09:54 AM) by nature, they are territorial creatures. and best to live solitary. yes yours might stay together well for now. but they might fight later. or ur pair could be an exception. that doesnt mean all other syrians are like that. i did keep a pair of syrian hamsters in the same cage before, 2-3 pairs actually coz i'm so stupid at that time...each pair will fight untill onli one left, even they look so frendly at fist in the end they will fight....and due to my stupidness i keep buying another syrian to replace the pair and they kept killing each other...so my conclusion is...i think there is no execption...they are strictly solitary.....i suggest u dont take the risk. please separate them when they reach 2 months old the latest. now i learnt the lesson so i kept all my syrian in individual cage...the newborns will stay together until 2months old maximum.. um my male syrian is 2yrs plus oledi, and recently he lose fur on his nose...so now the nose "botak" oredi...izzit natural? can treat ar?

you have a very good point there Sangels-san...breeding any species of pets without proper planning, knowledge and solely for PROFIT MAKING is VERY VERY WRONG and i'm totally AGAINST IT. I homebreed syrian hamsters now, because i LOVE to take care of them very much...watching the babies grow very fast and witnessing their development makes me feel like witnessing a miracle...selling them actually makers me wonder if i'm a bad person who manipulate the circle of nature, but i try my best to provide the best for them, including finding them a worthy owner. For all pet-owners, LOVE YOU PETS, DONT JUST OWN THEM ~!
