One thing to know. Never ever get a male and female pair if you are not ready for the hamster to have babies. There is a lot of things to do when they are pregnant.

Please get same sex pair and also siblings to avoid fights.

WW can be tamed but not as easy as syrians. Heard that WW cannot eat fruits or too sugary veges as they are diabetic.

thx for your advise.. biggrin.gif
btw..if i wanna let them to have babies..what should i do when she is pregnant..?.and what's the symptoms so that we know she is pregnant..

Think about the outcome before thinking of breeding them. You will need to separate the male and female after mating. They will fight if you don't separate.

You will need another tank for that. Then when the babies are born you will need to feed them. Then after 1+ month you need to separate by sex the babies into different tanks. If they breed then it will be called in-breeding (incest to humans) which cause genetic defects and abnormal babies.

There are more information. Please read up before breeding them as there is a lot of things to do. It's not that simple.

yea,,i read some of the info before...
another tank stand by too...but i think i will go for 2 same sex... sweat.gif
2 male of 2 female will be better?... biggrin.gif are they will still fighting eventhough from the same mother..?
and for last..can i feed them mealworms?..how many do i feed them per day?..
thx alot for your infomation.. biggrin.gif

Males or females also same. Only that females have heat (same like woman having period) every 4 days.

You have to monitor them as they will play fight. If too serious then have to separate also.

You can feed them mealworms but gut the mealworms first with veges, dog food, etc before feeding to your hamster. The mealworms were feed with newspaper. This way the hamster will get better nutrition.

You can try feeding them till they don't want to eat no more then you will know how many they can eat.

oic...i thought there is a limit?..like we can't take too much of meat which's not good to us.
btw..thx alot.. notworthy.gif

i thought feeding hamster with 3-4 mealworms a day is ok? some of the hamster owners here do that...

@cheesebet: i think your hamster needs time to know that the worm is edible, try to cut off the head of the worm, hopefully when your hamster can smell the 'juice', she will attempt to eat it...smile.gif ganbatte ne!
*

thx alot.. biggrin.gif will try few days after if she still don't eat..

Feeding hamster with sunflower seed, corn, nuts already make them cut to 1-2yrs live, if your still practise feeding them mealworm, cut their live even shorter.

really?.. shocking.gif
btw..my ex-hamster..she died after 7 or 8 month I bought.with feedin her those sunflowe seed,corn,bla bla..5 mealworms each day.. sweat.gif
is there other method to pump them?... hmm.gif

well,uh....i had the same prob too...smoe was very shy and was reluctant to come onto my hands and always hides away...
perhaps, try placing some delicious treats like broccoli, sunflower seeds, tofu, etc on your hands and see if he comes onto it...practise this everyday...and also, try whispering to him so that he can get used to your voice...
*

but..she not even come nearby..once i touch her..she run away..
and if i keep touching..i think she 'll bite.. shakehead.gif
