Need some advice :- how to get rid of the ants from the hamster cage or food? Mostly i cleaned up my table  and suddenly dunno where da heck ant come from...

Wat if i'm using cage lol? XP and dun wan to attract ants lol?

HELP! i have syrian hamster just gave born to 5 babies.

2 of them is dead, only 3 lives.

but the problem is, the mother eating the 2 dead babies.

when i arrive at the cage, the inly thing left was laf bodie of the babies. plz help

what should i do?

seperate the babies and it mothers ?

Oh...sad face again  ....Let say, if I can remove the cone from the cages and replace the wheels also..and closed the tube when they grown big, could that be okay? Well, I was saving up to buy a syrian but dunno this could be happened    ( no money right now to buy 2 feet plastic tank lol ) oh right, its actually 2 in that cages ( both female...i could'nt imagine if they both fight when they get big....usually that happened for male only lol )

you must not allow them to live in that small cage...you have to find another alternative soon.

just the fur color is different...
not the breed..if the breed is different,so it will be hybrid...

between dwarfies it is ok to breed...but make sure you don't breed dwarfs and syrians...it won't work even if you try. but don't even try for that matter! winter gold is hybrid?  what, mixture of  syrian and dwarfs eh?

Though there is another hybrid gene which is obtained when you breed a Winter White and the Russian Campbell, (known as the Winter Gold hamsters here), expert hamster breeders would definitely never encourage you to breed Winter White’s with Russian Campbell’s, as it would spoil the Winter White line.

I was at Pets wonderland (Mid valley) the other day.
Was browsing through the hamster corner when I sported something red.
That is where I found one of the Syrian hamster chewing off his mate's head/butt.
totally disgusting.
& very irresponsible of the staffs there.
from the looks of it, the dead hamster has been there for quite some time.
if the staffs has been taking good care of the pets there, these wouldn't have happened.
Lucky the cage was located above the eye level of a kid.
it's definitely an unpleasant sight.

secondly, does hamsters have taste buds?
as in do they know what they're eating is sweet? bitter? or smelly??

I gave my hamster quite a number of fruits before.
Mango, grapes, apples, guava, & DURIAN! XD
but all of it in a very small portion.
my hamster loveeeessss durian.

& I give him one big almond daily.
my mom fed him an abalone flavoured macadamia nut when i was out for work =_="
she said he liked it.
well my hamster eat practically anything.
even ice-cream =P

Can we put syrian hamster in habitrail mini? I have 2 of syrian hamster. Adult i guess. They are sibling, so far i got nothing problem to put them in 1 house. Thx..

Yeah. Im agree with u. Im, my self just about to get a deegre in veterina. Im not mad if people here say it gently and kindly. not just say "pls do a research" Arent they didnt thinking that we all do a research, and when we fail to get an answer, we ask here. So, if u guys dont want to answer, just dont. Pls, dont say " pls do a research" anymore. U will hurt other people feeling. Anyway, cheers..
