QUOTE(z3r0717 @ Mar 7 2009, 01:11 AM) i'm in aus ma now.. hehe.. got 1 shop here selling gunpla.. price cheaper few bucks some are not.. I agree, some gunpla may be cheaper or expensive than others.no PG astray yet though.. see here sell cheaper anot.. hehe For example, in Penang, MG Nemo is selling like around RM139 at least and here in Aus, I found a Nemo selling at $55 (member's price) in which converts to RM126 which is a good deal, so overall the MG Nemo is good to go. But however another example is the Zaku Cannon. Penang is selling it at most RM170, while here after conversion is like $200 so not worth it. The conversion rate at this moment of time is still $AUD 1 = 2.3 RM (same like 2 weeks ago). Regardless of which I still feel buying gunpla (especially the fancy hero-type ones) back home is way cheaper than in Aus. |

QUOTE(z3r0717 @ Mar 7 2009, 01:13 PM) yea... i think older models are cheaper where new ones are more exp here(AUS)... Speaking of old models, Australia is a good place to get some of them. But in terms of cheap price, I'm not very sure if all old gunpla sold in Aus are cheap. I got a rare 1991 gunpla when I was staying in Tasmania once.btw, which part of Aus u referring to?? http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1201/689663...a405b0b.jpg?v=0 I got it right away due to it's unique tank transformation and GM-like traits for only $10. A rare piece at this price is worth every penny in my view. Now I am working in Adelaide and there's currently only two stores which sells gunpla, so price comparing isn't all that difficult when making apurchase decision. Sdyney would have more gunpla shops I reckon, I'd shop there once and that's where I bought my very first 1/100 gunpla |

i've just been poisoned by GUNDAM MODELING.
I feel gundam painting is easiest on 1) 1/60 PG which requires less painting, coz its so detailed then 2) 1/100 MG then 3) 1/144 HG then 4) 1/144 FG then 5)SD/BB Gundam bcoz SD gundam is sooooo small !! Hence SD/BB Gundam is the hardest to paint! dont u think so? therefore i seriously highly recommend MG or PG for gundam beginners. unless if u dont want to paint your gundam, then SD Gundam is recommended. Colourful RMIT building... the only one I could think of is the RMIT along Swanston St, and the nearest hobby shop is along Lonsdale St.... you won't miss it, they have a lot of radio controlled helicopters there. But don't expect many gunpla kits... you'll find more tanks/ships/submarines/planes than mecha. In fact they don't really display mechas except for a few at the window. If you're in Melbourne, you're better off saving money and buying them back in M'sia... I actually think that if you don't want to paint your gundams, go for at least a 1/100 or MG... Even the newer HGUC 1/144 kits which have lots of detail require paint in many areas eg nozzles and thrusters. SDs need lots of painting, especially the Sangoku series which have intricate armour designs... the foil stickers that they provide are quite ugly compared to stickers from other series. And actually SD series aren't that small because of the chubby designs... 1/144 NG/FGs are probably the hardest to paint because they are moulded in one/two colours only. |

QUOTE(vaKuz @ Mar 7 2009, 08:15 AM) I agree, some gunpla may be cheaper or expensive than others. I soooo agree with u on that. I'm not that much into classic models, so I always find stuff here moar expensive. However, I gotta say, their selection here, especially for those gundams on the high end side (PG, MG, Big HG kits) way better then KL shops... eventhough u pay a premium for it la... Unless im just craving for 1 HG model or its on sale, i'd much rather get it online. I got my PG Strike from that shop and i cost me $300 (i think ah...), which at that time was RM900 (3.0x conversion)!!! Dunno whats the price now though...For example, in Penang, MG Nemo is selling like around RM139 at least and here in Aus, I found a Nemo selling at $55 (member's price) in which converts to RM126 which is a good deal, so overall the MG Nemo is good to go. One thing bout that shop, they get their new gundams quite slow... like for instance, when i got the 1/100 Trans Am Exia online, they JUST received stock for Avalanche Exia, even though that one was released like a month+ before. QUOTE(Exiled_Gundam @ Mar 7 2009, 01:17 PM) HOLY HELL.... Wicked SICK... I can already imagine something like this happening in the anime. Hahahaha! IF anything la... I wish he didnt use the Cherudim and Arios body like that. But whatever...GATTAAAIII!!! |
