QUOTE(jceh83 @ Mar 24 2009, 01:32 PM) best to use mineral oil first till 5k or 10k service...mineral oil contains mineral composite that will help you shave off rough edges of your engine cams and blocks... Thats mean at my 1st 1000km service use mineral engine oil, then following 5000km service then use semi synthetic.best practice to use semi or fully synthetic at ur 5k or 10k rpm... Anyway anyone know the price for normal mineral oil and semi synthetic oil?? And which brand be the best with the best price tag? This post has been edited by jacktai: Mar 24 2009, 02:09 PM |

QUOTE(Daniel's @ Mar 25 2009, 02:05 PM) Sorry 4 late reply. Never sit in persona b4 but since u guys said its good, sumtimes i think persona a little bit bulky. Hmm...Myvi also not bad for SE but price wise. Sure show to us, also to alert we the new BLM owner to be careful when driving, don't mass up our brand new Saga BLM. QUOTE(boysrule @ Mar 26 2009, 03:41 AM) oh.. btw, how are you guys saga FC? mine full tank can go around 260km only.. max also 280. T_T and i found out my car tyre pressure is 35psi. probably coz they deliver from jb? My new BLM Manual already 200km, from full tank, only use up 2 bar only. I'm aiming for 400km for a full tank. I rarely pick up (speed up) the car, let it slowly gain speed.BTW, anyone know will it spoil the car if I let free gear at the slope? |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Mar 26 2009, 10:38 AM) what fuel are u using?.... Not sure what fuel using as it pump by the SA, I just got the car for few day. I really don't press the pedal, just enough to drive the car. Anyway from my understanding its doesn't mean it use less fuel if maintain 2k rpm, the FC are control by your right leg. As it you are driving up hill but using 4th gear, sure the rpm <2k, but you press more fuel than usual. I drive at 80km/h at 2.5k rpm, but I just touch the pedal that enough to maintain the speed.yesterday i gatal go pump esso synergy F1 for a try with 10 liter spare and RM10 of shell green on my meter...i go pump RM30 esso give me 5 bar total......the 5th bar drop as usual...around 80KM but when it drop to the 4th bar......the 4th bar won't drop even after i driven 80KM and that day i got rev until 4.5K RPM usually if i rev like that...70KM already drop....but won't drop...lol and pretty powerful too....u should try change esso and see your FC how... I think good control of your right leg and gear shifting is a crucial to lower the FC. BTW You really rev the car, 4.5k rpm really high. You must driving fast. Added on March 26, 2009, 11:04 am QUOTE(smokey @ Mar 26 2009, 10:51 AM) I think it doesn't matter, as you don't run the engine or left the engine idle mean nothing change in the oil. Think again, how to do with the Proton stock/ the show room car which already idle for more then 2 month. They rare move the car or not drive at all. Does they need to service every month even though the engine rarely run? This post has been edited by jacktai: Mar 26 2009, 11:04 AM |

QUOTE(Wuakaka @ Mar 26 2009, 11:09 AM) it wont spoil, juz dat abit dangerous as u might coudlnt control it nicely if sumth happens,my advice is put 2nd gear or 3rd gear so dat wont be so dangerous, Sure when I free gear sure I wanna speed up without the pull by the engine, especially come to toll, need to slow down or come to a traffic light . (Even 5th gear will slow the car) Like that can save more fuel. This post has been edited by jacktai: Mar 26 2009, 11:38 AM |

QUOTE(Wuakaka @ Mar 26 2009, 12:03 PM) Then I think you must press a lot of throttle while driving, try get use to the gear. Last time I drive Kancil 660, a under power car, I must fully get use to the gear in order to gain speed, otherwise no matter how much fuel u press it won't accelerate(if u r in a not suitable gear at that speed).Kancil I able to get FC RM0.10/km for city drive. 50% traffic jam. QUOTE(Wuakaka @ Mar 26 2009, 12:30 PM) yes u can,lol For sure you are a fast & furious guy, then no choice gonna paid the price loh, lol.Added on March 26, 2009, 12:31 pm b4 tis i every 2k change gear, still getting the same fc,so now i not happy ad,then 1st gear 2k,2nd gear 2.3,3rd gear onwards then whack 3k ad,lol Anyway as I said, it doesn't mean u shift gear at 2k rpm is saving the fuel, main thing is how much u press the fuel. Likewise, when u in free gear, just touch the pedal, the rpm can go up to 3k plus rpm. Its doesn't mean it take more fuel, but burn efficiency in the max. I think most case of high FC are cause by poor burning efficiency(u stress the engine for power). This post has been edited by jacktai: Mar 26 2009, 01:01 PM |

QUOTE(heavencloud @ Mar 26 2009, 03:15 PM) When going downhill, better let the gear intact, as the ecu will cut off the fuel supply, saving petrol at the same time What do you mean by the ecu cut off fuel supply?? and saving petrol at same time?Cause when u which to 5th gear, sure it will slow down your car by little little bit. |

Wah, my new BLM 1st full tank only run for 300km then fuel blind already. Its this cause by the engine not break in yet?
Which petrol is best recommend for breaking the engine? And What brand and type of engine oil is recommended for the 1st 1000k service? I saw the manual said must use the 20w50 oil. |
