upgrade options for that build are wide open, you can add another hd5850,add more rams, swap for a 6core core i9 when it's available etc

you just need to have the cash for it [and it seems like you have lots of it]

errm... sorry to bother u guys with my super noob question...

will the choice of ram affect the oc-ability of an i7 920 processor?

example: 3 GB of kvr 1333mhz vs 3gb of kingston hyper X 1600 mhz.

actually it does if you intend to oc the 920 heavily [like more than 4ghz].but,if you're only intending for 3.5ghz+-,the normal rams would do fine

prices should stabilize then.but, you do know how to assemble the pc right?if you don't the shop which you buy the pc from can assmeble it for you.[most of the time it's f.o.c but sometimes you have to pay a small amount]

Added on September 28, 2009, 7:07 pmboxsystem, why do you want to upgrade your board?budget?

Added on September 28, 2009, 7:15 pm@boxsystem,imo,just use the board.you can get hd5850 for rm950 with that budget and psu,it's faster than a gtx285.

or you could get sell your e6600,get faster cpu and a gtx275 [rm760] or a mid range, yet to be launched hd5000 cards [juniper]
