U would be surprise!

The problem with Seiko is they have too wide range of products, starting from hundreds to hundreds of thousands!
Though I do appreciate their high end watch and agreed that the quality is superb, but I don't see myself willing to fork out RM20k for a GS.

i do agree with you. seiko got too  many range of products and caused a problem on their branding.

people no longer see that seiko as an expensive watch compared to swiss made

lets say

u put a japanese watch eg seiko at rm10k, and a swiss made watch at rm10k... you immediately think that why that japanese watch so expensive and feel that swiss made is reasonable...

just IMO hahaha

ppl like u dot think so, however u do find a nice group of watch fanatics who think otherwise.
Seiko did a good job in their branding. if they were to priced themselves high like Tag, no one can afford a watch in japan in the good old days.
u do find a good number of Japanese in their 50s and up who prefer a seiko over an Rolex. thats why those Grand Seikos and Credor are sold exclusively in Japan.

a 10k tag/longines/omega besides a 10k seiko like a credor/grand seiko.. I prefer the later. hey just me.
ppl do compare a GS/credor to Rolex and claim specs wise its as good as COSC or better, finishing wise better than a rolex.

don't look at the highest end of credor. no one actually go for the highest end of any brand. U didn't get the most expensive premier collection right?
rm19,000 Seiko Arctura U didn't misplace a zero somewhere? any model number? close to 20K can get a nice credor or GS why a LE Arctura, resale value not even half as decent as GS/Credor.

SLQ025 ya... retail at eur$4k+ but wanna sell at eur$3k still no bites on watchuseek... so much for a LE watch.

I got this from my relatives as a reward for studying abroad and i didn't check it properly until now. I think i had to check the receipt and proof of cert he kept when i'm going back msia.

he just stated the watch u wearing.. the dial for second hands is WHITE, it should be grey. for me not sure if its the way u take the pic.. it appeared white.

I have to say if its real.. his relative very generous! since watch valued no less than RM$26K.

I didnt know the value of the watch when he 1st gave me the GMT.. Until a watchmaker told me at Brisbane for this brand of value and i only know and they didn't even spot for the difference so i not sure it's genuine or not.  Now Partyn33 your message seems a bit inappropriate in a sense of manner. I am not sure how he get the watch and i didn't ask but i will be in Msia next year so i will be checking it with him where he bought it.

If i'm not wrong, i heard and saw there was a shop at Sg wang selling these branded triple A grade watches. And for no reason i just hop it in, seems loads of aged and successful businessman(from my perception la) and they bought numbers of it regardless of brand

yup, im in my early 20s, just started my career recently, havent finished study yet tho.. i have been wanting to own a true mechanical swiss watch for so long, and since my bday coming up soon, looking to give myself a nice bday present.. been studying the pages of this forum to get more knowledge, and it seems the more i read the less i know what u guys are talking about.. haha. u seem to be one of the most knowledgeable here, mind giving me some tutorials on watches, movements, design, and all.. i really dont know where to start..
