looks like everything is jammed up to this tag heuer model. what is intriguing about this watch is the compass indicator on the bezel and even after thorough examination, i cant seem to find out how the compass mechanism works in this watch. btw, i've never seen this model in the market before. care to provide the model number?

i'm kinda intrigued by watches with sweeping second hands, somewhat like the seiko springdrive...does anybody here know of any swiss watches of less than 5k with that sweep-second hand capability?

huh? what do u mean by that? all mechanical watches do have sweeping second hand.
or do u mean small second hand? a pic will certainly help

what i meant is as in second hand that sweeps across the face of the watch instead of the conventional ticking second hand. a very good example would be the seiko springdrive...notice the second hand actually sweeps across the face instead of ticking? it's the graceful movement of the second hand that caught my attention but im looking for swiss made watch with similar concept

Any automatic or manual movement will do the same effect. Cheapest Swiss made would be Swatch automatic series.

easiest way to explain second hand sweeping is by watching this clip

saw the clip. any mechanical watch, may it be spring drive, manual wound.. from russia, China, Japan, USA would be doing what U saw on the clip.
U are new to the mechanical watches?
