sorry guys, i'm a mac newbie here.
got my MacBook alu a week ago. and i've got 2 questions to ask. 1st, why is CPU A always in high temp? like currently is 61'c. and my mac's bottom left (near the MagSafe adapter part) is always hot, why ar? izit abnormal or normal? 2nd, i've been running my mac whole day just like how i run my old desktop last time, msn and some forum and till night only i sleep or shut down. izit alright? will memper-rosak-kan my mac onot? (i'm a home user, no photo editing or bla bla bla) don't scold me >.< This post has been edited by diners: Mar 23 2009, 06:02 PM |

QUOTE(hapa @ Mar 23 2009, 07:08 PM) nice, not bad... keeping a good air ventilation below MB sure will make it run cooler... i've been thinking of that before too. but its safe.but will the bear keep ur MB safe?? seem not very stable on the bear's lap... won't even wibble-wobble also. so.... yeah, its safe. but i wonder why my mac suddenly run 6200rpm non-stop. even i restarted also 6200rpm. but the temp is okay, 55'c. i wondered why. so i just shut down. now using my old desktop. which had run for a few month's didn't shut down ==' Added on March 23, 2009, 7:28 pmand one mroe thing.. the iLife 09' DVD, izit the one which are sold in apple stores RM299 one? just now i open my macbook only i know got this DVD. cuz i didn't really check things inside the box in 1st day, too hyper to get my 1st mac. haha. * i've updated to Mac OS X 10.5.6 This post has been edited by diners: Mar 23 2009, 07:28 PM |

just thought about something when i was shopping at klcc yesterday.
i brought my macbook alu along, and was sitting at coffee bean resting with esprit raspberry. and suddenly some thought just flashes into my mind so in a sudden... "luckily i didn't get the Dell Studio or HP Pavilion or Sony FW that day..." although the Dell Studio or HP Pavilion or Sony FW i wanted to buy is the high-end version, but i still think that EVEN THE MIDDLE-END VERSION OF MACBOOK IS MORE EYE-CATCHING AND ATTRACTIVE THAN THE 3 ABOVE hahahahahahahahahaha * i admit i'm more a materialistic person ** Apple product's a very good thing to............show off This post has been edited by diners: Mar 25 2009, 10:33 AM |

QUOTE(nimrod323 @ Apr 2 2009, 05:36 PM) eer they did that already with the titanium powerbooks, u sure u wanna have a heavy indent-able laptop? Of course aluminum isnt as strong as its a soft metal to begin with. Its waaaay stronger than my plasticky macbook man. oops.. sorry. i didn't nknow that apple had tried out titanium.but hey, i thought titanium was... 1, Titanium is 60% denser than aluminium, but more than twice as strong 2, Titanium is as strong as some steels, but 45% lighter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanium saw it last time when i new bought the 900Ti since... suddenly felt abit of disappointed with my mac.
its every mac like this or only mine? 1, running so hot just now, 80'c (i was ripping song using iTunes), is this normal? 2, and then it hangs 2 times today. first time was the msn keep on said "signing in" but can't quit. second time was when i connect to my external display and for sure i close my lid, but then my external display had nothing and my mb's screen was still bright ang hang-ed. so i terpaksa press the power button to force shut down. 3, the streamyx recently is so slow, so my mb's safari cannot run full speed, which what i meant is , slow. (of cuz, this is not the reason i'm disappointed with my mac) izit i'm too rough to my mac? or its the same like u guys? and i touch the bottom part of my mb, its so hot until i dun believe its only 55'c. normally it runs 60'c. is this really normal? ** maybe its normal but i think its abnormal for i'm paying 4799 lah. i'm poor ppl. 4799 is alot for me. |

QUOTE(dinodog_Jr @ Apr 3 2009, 09:49 AM) Just wondering anyone here left their machine overnight in Bootcamp mode? there's this light sensor thinggie right beside ur cam. so u cover ur cover = cover the light sensorWhat is the recommend setting for bootcamp , Hibernate or standby? Normally the next day i open the lid. I have to restart the OS if i left it as Bootcamp. Mac OS X is just fine to instantly get back to desktop. One more strange thing to me about the webcam on mbp, when i cover the webcam. The whole LCD goes dimmer slowly. It happends too when you gently press on the webcam black frame. Why is this so? Normal situation?!.No idea with the purpose of such "feature". then ur screen goes dim. Added on April 3, 2009, 10:01 am QUOTE(ahblu3 @ Apr 3 2009, 12:12 AM) Mac, or i suppose all other computers, too, doesn't encourage shut down everytime after daily use. Sleep will do. Shut down only when you don't use your Mac for a several days. i'm just running safari, itunes and windows live.I didn't encounter any set back in terms of speed for daily usage except insufficient RAM at the moment when running WinXP thru PD. Aluminum is a good heat conductor, heat dissipates thru the whole Aluminum unibody then. No need to be too sensitive about the heat generated by MB. Make sure you don't wrap it with leather case or hard shell plastic case which will hinder heat dissipation. LOL This is my Temperature and Fan speed monitor thru istat pro, alot of Temperature readings, diners, which one you mean anyway? Currently running Mail, Safari, iTunes, PD WinXP, Adium, Skype... ![]() or maybe i've opened too much tabs at one time in safari anmd loading them and bla bla bla then hot in my cpu A.
