all the new macs comes with OS X 10.6 Leopard. unless you buying second hand macs that are avour 2years or older then you will get Mac OS X 10.5 Tiger.

i prefer using trackpad tho but a wireless mouse will be a big plus.

Mac comes with Apache. you can enable it on your sys pref > sharing > web sharing

as for php Leopard has php5 installed but not enabled by default. a bit of google will help

as for mysql you need to download mysql and setting it up is quite easy

i forgot how i did it but i can run php5 and mysql5 fine on my mac

but i moved my development sites to ubuntu due to mac default php5 doesnt support GD library... it only runs on php core functions.

just wanna confirm with unibody macbook users with iphone... does the mic on the iphone headset works when you plug in to the earphone jack of the macbook? i heard there is such feature but not really sure...

just out of curiosity. lol. i think it should work but just want to confirm

Not really recommended to put it on insomnia whole night long.... they got option to sleep display too in case you sont want to wait for the sleep display timeout

do back up your system before running onyx tho. it might screw up your system

dont have time machine? i heard a few cases where onyx screw up some apps but i rarely hear that it screw up the whole OS but just to be safe lol. even onyx warns us to make backup before running check.

time machine backup i mean... i use external hard disk to back up tho. only got airport express. if only someone can happily hack the airport express firmware to support time machine or at least using usb external storage. coz now the usb port on my airport express is kinda useless

i have been saved from time machine a couple of time and regretted one time when i did not backup with time machine. Data that is critical is best backed up especially with incremental backup like time machine.

investing in a good external hard disk for time machine is really worth it if your data is important.

MB 2.4 doesnt judge for its price but i would buy it for the backlit keyboard

i do work a lot in dark environment and i really find the backlit keyboard really useful. its just a nice thing have but the price is a bit steep
