I have a question regarding VMware Fusion 2.0. If I installed XP via VM and make the necessary adjustment of RAM to be 2GB, that means if I were to run XP then my memory will be splitted to 2GB for OSX and 2GB for XP? Is that right? What if I do not use VM (only use XP in case I need some software which OSX does not have), will my OSX RAM be 4GB or 2GB?
Yes, I'm running on 4GB Macbook Unibody 2.0GHz.

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Jan 18 2009, 05:10 PM) VMware is the app that'll be dividing up ur RAM. when its not running, OSX has 4gb at its disposal. try google some kind of manual update to 10.5.6. a lot of people had that issue yes. if u cant remember the shortcut, just type "grab" in spotlight. the software itself is in Applications > Utilities as for bluetooth, i dont remember BTing anything while in bootcamp xp, but i dont remember anything failed either. the BT driver is in the leopard dvd along with all the other drivers. Finally managed to install the BT drivers. The drivers are in the Mac OSX DVD which comes with the MB. You can't update the driver via the Windows automatically detection method. You have to manually access the DVD (probably via window explorer) and select the BT driver manually. It's an .exe file and upon executing the file, the BT driver is automatically installed.

Guys, I seem to have some problem with my Macbook Alu. Was browsing the internet with Safari and downloading some stuff via uTorrent. The temperature shoots up to 72 degC. Previously it was never like that. I think the problem starts after I install the smcFanControl. I set it to default which shows 2000rpm. Basically I wanted to use the smc just to monitor the temperature of the MB. I've tried rebooting though. Any idea what causes the problem?

QUOTE(BlueBerry~ @ May 18 2009, 09:35 PM) IMO. Dont need the mighty mouse at all. The trackpad is so good that is not needed. I have a wireless mighty mouse and I hardly use it at all. I find it faster to use the trackpad. Agree.. I'm also using only the trackpad..

QUOTE(elfreakz @ May 29 2009, 07:35 PM) my MB is plug whenever i'm using it at home. it showing 100%. when i shutdown, and turn on the next day it show 99%... and will be 99% forever although the cable is plug. aren't it suppose to charge it till 100%? if i want it to be 100%, i will need to unplug it, wait till the battery drop anything less than 98%, then only it will charge. else it remain 99%.. why eh? The reason why it drops is cause the MB is no longer charging the battery when it hits 100%. When it triggers below 95%, the battery will be charged to 100%.

QUOTE(dinodog_Jr @ Jun 4 2009, 09:42 AM) If i no shut down my machine for days, i will also facing such lagging issues. Restart will gain back the speedy performance. (But it doesn't happend all the time..hehe) Btw, make sure you exit the unused applications in the background. Not by "minimize" it. Just in case you not sure the theory of Mac OS X "cross" button(closed button) is different to Microsoft OS. Use CMD+Q instead of "x"

QUOTE(shdwkillr @ Jun 5 2009, 12:45 AM) You can buy keyboard cover easily in any shops that sells Apple stuffs. It's not plastic but silicone mostly. Anyway, keep in mind that keyboard cover for macbooks does become a barrier to the heat ventilation of the laptops, hence, use it with care. true.. I don't use it as I'm afraid of the heat problem as I leave my MB on almost 24/7

QUOTE(elfreakz @ Jun 6 2009, 10:01 PM) what do you mean get something cheap? it kill hdd only right? it won't kill the whole mB right? I don't see any problem of using the MB for P2P. It's just like normal operation of any notebook. The only thing that I take consideration is the temperature of my MB. I have temperature sensor program installed to monitor the average temperature of the MB and as long as it's well within the normal expected temperature range, I am not worried of any problem. The designers of Apple have already taken into well considerations regarding overheating of the MB. Moreover, with the new aluminium casing, it's even better for heat dissipation. In fact, the whole body of the MB is acting like a heatsink. Besides, if the temperature exceeds a certain limit, thermal shutdown will take place and the worst thing could happen is your MB switching OFF by itself. Still no permanent damage will occur
