yep its an old model guitar but looks nice nonetheless. You might probably have to upgrade the pickups if you want nicer sound. just curious hows the action like..

Nice guitar. I've always love Yamahas. But no comment on the sound? Specs?

The sound is ok But i am sure this baby will blow if I switch it with EMG's Will update you guys when I change Actually I did well in my final exam as my dad always bising that if I do bad then he will take my guitar and sell without me knowing So he is happy and he bought for me When I bought the guitar that time there are a little stain on the metal part But once I got home, I used the silver polish and wipe the guitar It looks like brand new Next guitar I plan to get is a Flying V or Strat with whammy bar Probably after SPM. Will study hard and get my 10 A1's Will find for crazy sales This post has been edited by azrinarizz: Dec 14 2008, 10:34 PM

EMGs are going for around RM700 for a pair. After installation, maybe RM750. Another RM250, and you can buy another one of your guitar.

but still, many ppl would rather have a guitar that has killer pickups, than 2 guitar that have plain normal boring yawning pickups.

Agreed. My LP-100 upgrades costs more then the guitar itself. EMG Pickups, Schaller Tuners, new Switches and electronics, Straploks.....

Instead, spend more on good amps/pedals/modelers and learn to tweak/listen to good tone before you get expensive pickups.. They just make up 10% of your overall tone.
Aftermarket pickups have their distinct EQ character and better dynamics/overtones... that's just about it.. Putting a set of 700 bucks EMGs won't transform your guitar (or anyone else's) into a tone machine until you master the basics...
