If I may recommend, you may try asking DATA recovery experts but it'll cost a bomb.

QUOTE(DemonKnight @ Dec 12 2008, 07:16 PM) so, no chance of me to recover back the old program? btw, how much to recover the program? RM30? You can still reinstall those programs. Windows.old folder may only contain registration information for some of those programs as not all programs stores settings in Registry. You won't be able to get any documents from that folder as Windows.old folder only backup <YOUR_WINDOWS_ROOT_DIR>\Windows\ (eg: C:\Windows\). Some programs may or may not work depending on their configuration. If you accidently formatted your disk, you can still recover files from your partition, but if you just upgraded from (let say) XP to Vista, the file is overwritten already. Data recovery will be useless. Data recovery are expensive, RM30 isn't enough. First Data Services - One flat rate RM800 Adroit Data Recovery Center - Depends on your hdd config and condition. Read here Added on December 12, 2008, 7:28 pmMay I know what programs you want to recover actually? This post has been edited by FarCry3r: Dec 12 2008, 07:28 PM
